I have a question, sorry if this is TMI ...

I had a d and c on Monday night, and the doctors said I could expect to have period-like bleeding for 3-4 days. But I only had very light bleeding on Tuesday, and only a few spots since then. Is this normal?

Also, we have been advised that we can TTC again after my first normal AF. Any ideas on contraception until then? I don't want to take the Pill etc. for such a short time, DP refuses to use condoms, and I usually use BBT but have been told that is not reliable between a M/C and first A/F? Not that I even feel up to BDing any time soon, but I don't get home to NZ (and DP) till 15th Jan and I am nervous that it might be a risky time to BD. I really don't want to get pg again before my first AF (although it's very unlikely considering how long it took us t get pg this time round) because I don't think I could stand another m/c.

Anyways, sorry for the ramble, and thanks in advance for your help...

I have had 3 D&C's and my first one i only bleed for a few days and then that was it. My last 2 i bleed for a lot longer. So I would say yes it is normal to only bleed for little bit.

As for contraception, I am unsure as we used condoms. Sorry i cant help there.

With my d&C I bleed quite heavily and for awhile, so sorry I am of no help.

Maybe just not having sex might be the best way, we didn't start having sex again until October, I had my D&C in July. I'm not saying you have to wait that long though....

Thanks for your replies. It's hard being over here in Oz, if I was home I could just ring my GP and ask her.

As for the BDing thing - I would be soooo happy to wait, but I'm thinking DP might not agree I guess it will be a matter of how we are both feeling when I get home in a couple og weeks.
