With Middlemore hospital???

I just got in from seeing my dad, who has not long been back from overseas, to find a letter in the mailbox from Middlemore Hospital.

It was dated yesterday saying that they have registered my 'booking' for my pregnancy, birth and post-birth care there, and were just letting me know. They got the letter from my midwife, which was no doubt sent to them three months ago when I found out I was pregnant. The letter went in the bin never-the-less.

What the hell is up with that? It had my NHI number on there, they would have been able to see I am no longer pregnant - are they thick or something? How bloody long does it take to process something - dorks...

Jesus it upset me something cronic, its so not fair. They have another complaint coming their way.

All this topped on already a shitty day - which I won't post about....

I'm so sorry you've had such a crappy time, I really do feel for you. I think someone at middlemore needs to cop an earful, how inconsiderate. You would think in this day and age of technology that everything would be loaded in a computor and they would see you no longer require their 'services'. I'm with you on the bad day front, it was 2 months today since we lost Trinity, I got through most of the day doing pretty much nothing, but pretty much lost it this afternoon, hubbys gonna come home to a set of puffy eyes.

I totally know where you are coming from, I got a phone call from my midwife last monday asking if i had a appt the next day at the antenatal clinic and I was like NO and she said i didnt think so but i was just paged to send up your files for it. That was ok then the nurse from the clinic rang me on the tuesday asking if i was coming and I was like NO, I am no longer pregnant and you should know that. She said yes I realised that but wasnt sure why you had been booked a appt and I was like well I got no letter so didnt know i had one coz if I had of known I would of rang and cancelled it. So none the less I didnt go..
