I just got an e-mail from Onewhosoars (Calypsos Mummy), she said someone had stolen a photo of Trinity, edited it, lied and said it was her daughter and posted it on Gonetoosoon. I feel so gutted, ripped off, sick, angry, upset, scared, really really hurt, I'm actually lost for words.
I'm trying to wade my way through all the photos there and try to find it and see if I can do anything about it. i know this kind of thing happens, but it's just another one of those things that you hear happening to 'other' people, once again, I am that 'other' person

Oh yuck, how terrible Manda!!! How dare they! I've heard of it happening a few times unfortunately- there's some sick demented attention-seeking people out there

I think my only consolation is thinking that perhaps there's a good reason?????? Maybe whoever it is has lost a baby but didn't get photos, in which case I should be proud that she thought my baby was beautiful enough to pass of as her own????? I don't know, i still want to find it and see what has been written.

I know a lot of SandsUK ppl use GTS, if you know the photo used, you could post it there and ask ppl to help find it on GTS ? Just a long shot I know?

Oh that is SO SICK of someone to do that. Good on you for thinking positively about their reasons for using the photo - but still, I can't believe someone would do that. Will definitely join in the hunt to try and find it for you.

I hope it's ok I pop back in here. I'm glad I went with my gut. With the amount of editing she did to Trinity's photo and she took out the Gizmo. But I kept thinking 'I know that baby I know that baby'

So I googled 'Lost Baby Girls' and it popped up on page like 28. And then it clicked. Please I urge you all to look at these sites and see if anyone else's child looks familiar

This lady has so many people on GTS so very very upset. Also the persons IP has been banned and their user removed. The sites are still up so that hopefully all the REAL parents of these babies can be found and shown what happened

I've just checked out all those links and they all say that the memorial has been removed, job well, done. I just hope she doesn't use the pictures anywhere else. What's the point of doing something like that, I don't get it?

Manda, when I read your first post my heart hit my feet... to think that someone would do that to someone elses treasured memories is dispicable!!!
I must admit that I did try to do a search too, but nothing came up for me either, so fingers crossed that the person who took Trinity's picture has had a wrap over the knuckles.

Just told DH and he is baffled too...just shook his head and said there are some sickos out there.

Melissa, the fact that you had the guts to tell Manda about this is admirable, unfortunately I cant help with identifying the last baby, but you are right there is something familiar about her. Hope that you can track down the parents soon.

That is so horrible, I can't believe that someone would do that. Actually I am quite disgusted that someone would do that. Your presious memories being passed off as someone elses is just not on.

I tried to open those links but I couldn't (kept saying an error had occured and timing out), does that mean she has been found out and the sites have been taken down.

I cant believe anyone would do that, I went snooping last night but couldnt see much, I ended up making a Memorial for William while I was there, tried to log on earlier but wouldnt let me, finally tried again now and its back but noticed something like 40 babies have been removed so hoping things will work out.

I contacted the mommy through the christian memorials page. But haven't heard back. I hope it's her current email. If not I'll just have to continue my life and hope at a later date I find her again.

The lady who stole Trinity's photo we found out was a fake because she pretended she was in the hospital. Made up an account for her 'mom' and 'brother' and was all saying how their sister was injured and about to die. They stole a photo from a girl here in America who was deathly injured 7 years ago. WELL Turns out that the REAL girl who was injured's COUSIN is part of GTS. And so she proved it was fake.

After that it turns out about 6 people were fake (we think it was all the same person really though)

GTS IS a nice community though. We unfortunately have our jerks and fakes but that will happen almost anywhere even irl. One of the girls found out I was hoping to get Calypso 1000 candles lit on her site by Christmas so she proceeded to tell EVERYONE and even the admin lit a candle

Ok now I just feel sickened that some sick person would do this.

That is horrible... but I think you are right...in a way you should be proud that they think that your wee Trinity is beautiful enough to call there own...still doesnt make it right though... very, ver sad!
