I'm a glutton for punishment!!!
Today the catholic church I attend had a memorial service for all the loved ones in our parish who has died since Oct 2004. Of course Josh and I wanted to attend in honor of TJ (this weekend is all saints day). So during church service they read out the names of the ones who have died. They read out loud Tyler Jon White, and I along with my mom break out into uncontrollable tears in the middle of church. I can not control myself when I hear my son's name-and it's getting harder because Tyler is becoming a popular name over here in the states.
So anyhow, my husband is lutheran, and his church is doing the same thing tomorrow during their sunday service, so of course we will be at that, and I'm sure the tears will come a flowing again!!!!! I'm such a glutton for punishment. I know it is normal to feel this way, but I keep doing this to myself.
Please send me strength to make it through his service tomorrow, cause right now I don't feel I have that much strength.
Bridget

Oh Bridget, I can't imagine the pain today (amd tomorrow). I know this all seems like a nightmare and going to something like that reminds us that it is reality. I am so sorry and I wish I could be there with you. I am sending you loads of strength for tomorrow. I will be thinking of you and I will look for you tomorrow if you are feeling up to it.
Big (((hugs))) sweetie, Jenn

Well I did it again!!!! I'm still a glutton for punishment!!!! I called today to make an appointment to get our family christmas pictures taken, like I've done every year for the past 3 years. The woman on the phone asked me how many people will be in the picture-that's when it hit me- there will still only be 3 people in the picture. I wanted so badly to say 4. How can I schedule a family pic, when a member of my family will never be there? It will never be a family pic, just a "group" picture. So i was pretty bummed the rest of the day, crying off and on. I went to the cemetery to see Tyler and tell him I was sorry for the millionth time.
Why do i keep doing this to myself??
Bridget

Dear Bridget,
Big (((HUGS)))
I have a teddy bear called Riley Bear(he came with a smaller bear that is now with Riley), this bear comes with me whenever I go away and if I'm feeling down I grab Riley Bear and cuddle him, maybe you could buy a teddy bear that you maybe would have bought for Tyler and the bear could be part of the family picture. Anyway just an idea.
Take care
Jacqui

I think that is a great idea too. I have a bear that my mom gave my for Nicole last Xmas. I used to sleep with it and have it hug my belly. I put 2 other bears with Nicole, but I kept this one, because it used to hug her and now I can hug it. I think that is a great idea to have something in the photo to it TJ's.

Thanks for the suggestions. I do have a teddybear that my mother in law brought to the hospital the day TJ was born. She gave it to me so that I would have something to hold once the nurses took TJ away. I'm thinking about holding that. I also have an emerald angel pin (his birthstone) that I'm going to wear, so that he will be remembered.
Thanks for the ideas!!
Still having a rough time coping with all of this, but just taking it day by day.
Bridget
