Post So Cruel
I went to a shop today to buy a special candle for lighting tonight, the cost of the candle was $4.00 not much but I did not have any change on me so I went to pay by eftpos only to be told rudely I had to spend a minimum of $5.00, so I explained why I wanted the candle, I told the shop assistant that my baby boy died last year and that today was pregnancy and infant loss awareness day and it was important to have a candle so I could light it in remembrance of my baby and she laughed at me, I nearly punched her friggin lights out instead I got angry and told her to shove it well this was happening some bastard and the other check out chick were laughing as well, I just can't believe that people can be so cruel, I've had some cruel comments over the years in relation to baby loss, but I have never been laughed at.

Sorry I just needed to vent

Jacqui

So sorry you had such a bad experience there. Your family were in mine & Amanda's thoughts yesterday at the balloon release, as well as the candle ceremony at the hospital after.

Sending you warm hugz
Rae

How disgusting [smilie=bluecolorz5_pdt_20.gif] , people can be so thoughtless, wheres the joke :?:, they obviously have never been touched by a loss before, I'd make it a point never to go there again, I hope you managed to get a candle after all that.
(((hugs)))

Oh good GOD what is up with that! That is absolutely disgusting - i hope you gave them an earful.

I fail to find what is so funny about wanting to remember our lost angels.

People can be cruel - but laughing really tops the cruel charts...

Thank you
I will not be going back into that shop ever!

Rae and Manda thank you for thinking of us at the balloon release yesterday, I was really quite sad as I had tried to find out what was happening here in brisbane, but nothing, it was very disapointing, I'm just glad that next year I will be in NZ.

The house we are staying in has lots of candles, but I really wanted one of my own to light, Riley has his own candle which I normally would have lit but it's in NZ, anyway I ended up lighting 3 candles, the first to remember Riley in life the second to represent his passing and the third for the future.

I'm late too jacqui - I can only think she laughed because she felt unsure and uncomfortable, either that or she deserves to be shot!!!

Lovely the three candles idea.

They were lucky it wasn't me in the shop....I would have punched her!!! How rude. Are you going to write a complaint letter to the shop...or even better to the local newspaper!
Thinking of all our angels!
