Today, our wee man would have been 1 year old. It's so hard to comprehend and I have been thinking over the last week even more about what he would have been like. I woke soon after midnight last night remembering that a year ago today it was all on and we were rushing to the hospital with hazard lights flashing and running red lights ....... completely unaware of the nightmare we were about to face. I remember thinking at the time that this will be a story to tell bubs when they are older (the rapid trip to the hospital) .... but little did I know. We are keeping today pretty low key as we are having a memorial picnic on the 9th Feb for his Angel Day. I will however bake a cake for Liam. Caitlyn is very keen about this idea and told me quite clearly that she will be in charge of blowing the candle out for Liam since he can't be here. I lit his candle this morning first thing and shed a few tears, but otherwise it hasn't been too bad. |

Thanks everyone. The day wasn't too bad .... however I am finding myself continuously re-living what was happening this time last year and I guess that it going to continue over the next 15 days as we remember what was happening. Thank you all for your thoughts and support .... it means a lot! |
