Post I am so frustrated
I had my 4 week follow up 4 weeks ago, I went for more bloods blah blah, all was looking better......was told they would see me in another 4 weeks to start me on meds that may help prevent things going wrong again, and until then, not to TTC. Well, me with my impatience phoned the clinic to see when they could see me and they are 2 months behind so it could be late April, early May before I can get in. I have to be on the meds for at least a month, then once I get pg, I start on some others. AARRRGGG I have told the receptionist the situation and she said she would do her best but can't promise anything. OMG the health system is nuts. What is worse is that the Dr looking after me is going on maternity leave in April!! I am thinking about calling my midwife to see if she can help, but feel a bit cheeky. I can prob go through GP, but would prefer to deal with the specialists! They know my situation a bit better than my GP. Just had to vent to people who will understand my frustration, thanks for listening!!

Oh Tracey, that totally sucks that they are keeping you waiting!! Can you please explain why it is that you have to take meds in the lead up to getting pg and during pregnancy? Hope things get sorted soon, an you can start getting down and getting funky  real soon, as they say practice makes perfect!!

That is such a bummer Tracey! ..... just when you want to get on with it and get things happening! - that's certainly how I am feeling at the moment. As Carly has asked, can you remind us what the drugs are for?

We had our appointment with the specialist this week and I didn't realise until then that as it's been over 18 months since our IVF cycle, we now have to pay for everything (the IVF cycle was govenment funded!). Even though we have 5 frozen embroyos, it will cost us over $1,000 a pop to get them put in!! ..... Just when I thought we could walz along and get it put in just like that! The specialist has recommended that we give it 3-6 mths of trying naturally (Liam was natural, so obviously things CAN work), then try a fertility drug and if that doesn't work, try with an embroyo. It's not quite how I envisaged it panning out, but I guess it gives us a few months to save some $$$ if we DO need that embroyo! Very frustrating!

Hi guys, I developed pre eclampsia at an unusally early stage and the Specialists have said that they want to start me on a low dose prescription asprin and folate before I conceive, then clexane as soon as I am pg. They use these meds to stop blood clots and things, apparently mums at high risk of misscarrige are also given these.

That sux about the IVF thing, especially if you have your own embryos sitting there. It doesnt seem fair! I am certain that you will conceive natuarally before then, fingers crossed for you!!
