Hi,
I put a couple of posts up after Jamie died introducing myself,
he was our 4th son born at 24 weeks, living for near 8 weeks but passing from cronic lung disease amongst many problems at being born so early.

I've come back as I'm still stuck 7mths later, most days are good but I feel it under the surface, I dont know if time resolves this or really letting yourself feel the pain.

I'm really needing another baby and weve been trying since he passed in august, I wasnt ready straight after but we tried anyway. My problem is I've had 4 chemical pregnancies in 6 cycles, I self refered to a private obgyn and after much testing I have low progesterone levels, their still testing and if low again at this cycles cd21 bloods the'll give me something. I chart and can see the LPD which is why I pushed for it.

My question is has anyone else had this? Is having a premature baby something that can so flip your hormones when theres been previousally no problem in concieving?

Hi Jamiesmum,

I so know where you are at and am sending loads of hugs and babydust :)

We lost our darling little girl, Satori in Nov 07 at 36.5 weeks gestation. We were and still are heartbroken, but felt right from the day we lost her that we needed to have another child.

I ended up having to have a c-section so we started trying for a baby a few months after we lost Satori, but nothing! It was sooo frustrating as we had not had any fertility issues with our first two pregnancies. I then started to cycle and started to have CD21 bloods done, which showed low progesterone. My specialist, that delivered Satori ,then put me on Clomiphene, as we had been trying for 6mths and if became obvious that i was not ovulating. My progesterone went even lower for the first two months and then on the third month I ovulated and I am now 20weeks pg - what an ordeal!!!! I felt that mother nature was playing another cruel trick on me, but also wondered deep down if maybe my body (physcologically) was not ready to go down that track again.

Either way, we pushed for this pregnancy and finally achieved success. Its an emotional journey and we just have to hope that everything will go smoothly this time :)

I hope things start to happen for you soon sweet.
