Post anyone had dealings
with MAFAU (mother and fetal assessment unit) at Waikato?? If so what are they like and with do they do?
My specialist has faxed (a rather large one too  ) my notes to them and asked them to get intouch with me about going over to have a visit with them. Just wondering what they do thats all.

Hi Carley,

I was under MAFAU with Eva last year and will be seen under them again with this pregnancy too. They do a LOT, basically co-ordinate all neonatal and paediatric services for any high risk pregnancies. Let me know if you want to know anything specific but all the dealings I've had with them have been fantastic, they have all been lovely.

Thanks sweetie, I have heard from them and have an appointment for the 27th August at 1pm, when I asked how long the appointment takes they said and hour to an hour and a half!!! Apparently they will do a scan then I will have a sit down with the Dr and go through the results and talk about the plans that will be set in place. So that will be a long day for me

Yep I was under them with Timothy, I mainly just went in for monitorings and for them to check everything was ok.
