wow, havent been on here for ages, so just thought i would update, i am almost 20wks, have my anatomy scan on the 27th Jan, and all is going great, blood pressure is 117/68, this time with rhiannon it was 138/100, so thats under control as well.

I am being well looked after by the wellington high risk team (apparently im a pretty easy high rist patient) because they only see me on my appointments and i havent had to ring them for anything apart from needing my clexane scripts.

im finding the high risk team pretty good, just had to call them actually about my clexane script and the midwife got back to me within 15mins...dont have anything bad to say about them...but then again have only seen them once so far (before that i was under the mfm team run by Jeremy Touhy) so next appointment with them is the 27th, but at least i know if i have any problems i can ring them.

Hey all, well my appointment went so well it was boring...the scan was kewl, they tried to get a 3d image for me but the little buggar had his hand in front of his face.

Yeap we are having a boy...woohooo

we are naming him Cory Alec Bowman and he is apparently all healthy and great size, so now we are having monthly appointments...and monthly scans just to make sure the he is growing well, Rhiannon stopped growing at 35wks, so am being very closely monitored, my bp is so boring its 117/78, this time with rhiannon it was like 140/90 or something.

so yeap all is going well

Post Re: Kaz's pregnancy diary
okay so 32 + 4 now, and had another scan today, definitley a boy....lol, he is head down, butt up, with his spine to my stomach and on my right hand side (hench the feeling of a bowling ball when i walk..lol), he is estimated to weigh about 1.8kgs or about 4lbs (which according to the books etc is just right), but according to the ob is under the national average...lol

but he is growing and very active so im happy.

they have stopped my blood pressure meds as my bp is still at 110/65 which is why i keep wanting to pass out.

i had some protein in my urine today, so had to send a sample away to the lab so fingers crossed it was nothing.

other than that, dont go back for another 3 wks, which will put me just before 36wks...so will be making a decision then about whether or not we are going to try for a vbac or not....but at this stage its all looking good.

32 weeks omg and a boy super news KAZ....I am so rapted for you hun.
And OMG at the national level thinking 4 pound was below average...I had cam at 32 weeks ..he was 4 p 9oz and they all commented on how big he was LOL (I so didn't think so but when I meet another wee 25 weeker in there I agreed).
Wishing you all the best with the tests coming back due to protein and can't wait til you (and us) can meet your wee man.
Take care hun

wow where is the time going, im 35+4wks now, have a growth scan and ob appointment this morning, i am hoping to get a date for an elective, as i refuse to be induced again...but either way only 2 and a bit weeks, as im not allowed to go over 38 wks.

im am really over being pregnant, felt so bruised last night that i couldnt walk, had to crawl to the toliet, and that was a mission in itself..hahahaha

will be interesting to see how much he has grown and how engaged he is as i feeling like have needles in my cervix at all times now, anyway back later on today to update from my appointments

okay scan went really well, Cory is estimated to be about 2.5kgs, (rhi was 2.4kgs at 38 wks), have a scan in 2 wks, and a check of my cervix, and if favourible we will be going for the vbac, if not for the elective...so in about 3 wks i will be having my baby

bp is good, he is well engaged and boy do i know it...lol

That's awesome Kaz!

Can I ask why you are choosing an elective over induction? Because of past experience??

Post Re: Kaz's pregnancy diary
i went into labour naturally with miss now 3, but once my waters broke my labour stopped so they had to induce me, and i was stuck on a bed for 8 hours with double lot of induction, and never got past 4 cm, then bubs got distressed so ended up with an emergency csection.

so this time around, they will check to see if my cervix is favourible and if its not we will go for the elective (because inducing with a non favourible cervix will probably mean a csection anyway).
