My first scan
Hey guys,
Well i had my first scan today and all is fantastic, baby has 160 beats per min and the scan lady was super impressed saying that all is well. Other than the fact i can barely make out my darling blob of a baby i have beautiful scan pictures. So excited all is well and my baby is in there

Re: My first scan
Yay its Christmas soon!! I am pretty excited but at the same time i am a little anxious. I have my 12 week scan on Wednesday and can't shake the worry bug thats following me. I know everything is probably fine as i have had no cramps, bleeding or anything like that but last time i had my scan at 11 weeks and that was when i found out that i had lost bubs Is it normal to feel worried when everything seems to be going fine?? Anyway i hope everyone is well and gearing up for the next few weeks of fun. I will post next scan pic as soon as i can after xmas. Merry Christmas everyone

Re: My first scan
I think most ladies on here have more reason to be nervous about scans than most, those feelings are normal!!! Good luck and looking forward to seeing some pics!!!

Hey Vanessa, I'm so glad everything went well with your scan - love the pic - it must make everything feel a bit better I so know how you were/are feeling though as the worry bug is on my tail at the moment, and I'm hoping that at 1pm today it gets a little bit settled - I have an early scan today, so fingersx. I am looking forward to your updates over the next 6 or so months Take Care

Re: My first scan
Hi Ladies,
Hope everyone is well.
Just a quick question is it normal to feel like an emotional wreck at this stage in my pregnancy?? All week ive been crying, not constantly but anyting can set me off. The babies father let me down so i just cryed my eyes out, the midwife didnt turn up for our appointment today and sent the txt to tell me to the wrong number and i just cryed. I feel like im losing my marbles. Im pretty happy but cant stop crying. Any feedback/suggestions greatly appreciated.

Re: My first scan
Hi Vanessa, sounds normal to me too! I remember being soooo sensitive, I would even cry whenever some ads came on TV! Take care and remember to put yourself first. Relax when you need too! Big hugs

Re: My first scan
Hi Ladies,
Sorry its been ages but its all been fairly quiet on the baby side of things. Life however has not been so quiet. Im studying agin for the next 10 weeks which is the last thing i want to think about but it keeps me busy. The father and i are now friends as it was not working us being together as he made me feel stressed and anxious but even now as friends he stresses me out so have asked him to only contact me if it concerns the baby. I dont know what else to do as feel more at peace without him around. But the hardest part of it all is i am currently living with my married friends who have a two year old and in 3 weeks they will have another wee boy. Its a great situation most times and they are really happy for me to be hear and stay with them until after my baby is born but at times i feel like the live in nanny/cook/slave. I just want to have my own place but dont feel safe flatting on my own while pg.
Sorry bout the big moan/vent. Super excited bout 20 week scan next week so not all is doom and gloom. Hope everyone else is well.

Oh Ness! Quote: The father and i are now friends as it was not working us being together as he made me feel stressed and anxious I know what that's like... My marriage is over and we're both a lot more relaxed now that we've made the decision. Can't be easy for you, though, staying with your friends who are having a new baby and studying at the same time. Thinking of you!

Re: My first scan
Hey everyone, Had my 20 week scan today and im having a wee girl! The father and i are very excited. All was well except that the placenta is sitting in the front when it should of moved down so have to have a scan later in pregnancy to make sure it has moved. And my darling wee girl would not move so they could not get all her heart valve pic's so also have to go back in a couple of weeks to get that box checked. Other than that all went well. Here is her pic

Re: My first scan
Well Hello there wee lady! WOW another girl ...... ! There has obviously been a lot of girl baby dust in the air! Congratulations.
Shame that bubs wouldn't move for you - but the good thing is you get to have another peek at her again soon, so that must be exciting.
Take care and looking forward to more updates.
