Hi ladies.

Had another appointment with specialist today and although my last doppler scan results werent ideal, we are hoping that I can go till 34wks at least. That is 32 sleeps away so hopefully we can manage that. They gave me some steroids today and I have to have more tomorrow, thats incase I cant make it to 34 weeks. Also had a ctg and it was all ok. So. From now on, its 2 scans a week and 2 ctgs. Plus pretty much bedrest in the mean time!

WOW They sure are keeping a close eye on you aye?? Those steriod shots hurt like a bugger dont they?? Man my arse cheek was sooo sore after mine, but so worth it for the peace of mind. I am heading into town again this week so will text ya and me and Jess will pop around and keep ya company

Glad to hear you are being taken good care of Leonie. And sounds like they have a plan for you and your bubba!

Well, I had another appointment at waikato today, and the good news is.....my baby girl has grown again and is now estimated 3lb4oz. Bad news is.....that is still too small. She should be here by the end of next week when I am 34 weeks. I am sooooo scared Everyone is really happy that I have made it this far but I just feel so disappointed that I wont be making it any further. I hate that she is so small and I am so scared about having an operation. I havent ever spent a night in hospital and now I will have to spend an indefinite (hopefully not too long though) period in hospital, in hamilton. How am I going to get through the next however many weeks?????!!!!!!!!!

You will get through because you will have your beautiful daughter with you and she will have her mama Its totally understandable and natural that you are afraid but im sure they will be keeping a close eye on you and bubs. The operation will be over before you know it and then you will have your girl to focus on though the weeks to come. We'll all be thinking of you

I haven't been on for a while, so sorry for the late reply. It sounds like you have done really well to get to 34wks, and that your little girl is a fighter. I can't wait to hear that she is here, and to see some pics

It sounds like you have been well cared for and that the decisions that are being made are the best for both you and baby. Don't worry too much about the c-section - I have had two, and you are generally up and around fairly quickly. They also help you to manage the pain well.

Anyhow, I hope all is going well and I am thinking of you.

Omg I cant believe its thursday and my little girl is coming tomorrow Im feeling pretty positive right now that everything will be ok, however not looking forward to staying in hamilton. (fingers crossed that it wont be more than a week or so.) Yesterday they showed me the scbu here in Rotorua, and Im pleased to say that it is so much more homely than the waikato one. And even though I live here, they have rooms for the mothers to stay in which I thought was really cool. I have been feeling quite sad about the thought of not being pregnant anymore, every time I feel some wriggles it reminds me how much I love being pregnant and in a day or so, I wont feel that anymore Anyway, this is the last update Ill be posting, so wish me luck! I will txt Carley when I have the good news.

Well I heard from Leonie today, and as to be expected she is very nervous about tomorrow, hopefully my words helped to ease some of that for her. She has promised that she will send me a pic of her lil girl, BTW I know her name nah nah nah nah nah, and I will try and get it onto here somehow, and once they are back here in Rotorua I will go and see them with my camera in tow, just like Leonie did for me.

Angel Connor, thank you so much for keeping and eye on your little sister, until it was time for her to arrive. I know that you will continue to be the best big brother in the world for her.

Have heard from Leonie today, here is her text message

we got off 2 a roky start,puncturd a lung nd needed ventilation nd a chest drain. Bt thngs hav turnd round nd shes doin real Wel. Should b bk on cpap 2mro nd drain out.then i mite finaly gt a hold!

i asked how Sabrina would have got a punctured lung and here is the reply
They thnk mayb she did it @ birth frm crying. Bt her lungs wer quite stif. They gave her surfactant 2 soften them and it seems to hav done th trik



So it sounds like they are taking good care of Leonie and Sabrina, still now word on when they will be allowed home, but will keep you informed.

She got cuddles today!!! needless to say she is super happy about that. Sabrina is off the ventilator and back on the cpap, but that is even looking good, and they may be back in Rotorua as early as next week.

Man so much has happened since I last visitied the site!!!!!

Anyway welcome little Sabrina and huge congrats to mummy and daddy!

Im home!!!! Cant believe it. Sabrina will be home to rotorua hospital later today. I didnt wait for the ambulance because I had a tummy bug on saturday night and I dont think im quite ready to get too close to anyone. She has been doing really well. Lost a lot of weight, but yesterday she was back up to 1515g. She is still in an incubator. Havnt been able to see her for a while so Im really looking forward to seeing her tonight
