Debs Pregnancy updates
Ok so thought id give a little update. Found a midwife who seems pretty nice and was recommended on a few forums online. She put me at 6w3d (which i thought was proberbly a week ahead as i have been having long cycles). The HCG i had was 2216 that day put me about 5 weeks. Have been a little nervous at the lack of morning sickness, Had it so severly in my last 2 pregnancies i lost 10 kg in the 1st 3 months with both of them. Its there in this one...but just in the backround if that makes sense...feel nauseas at times but still eating good and no vomiting. (Never though i would want morning sickness before!) Also been referred to consultant at the hospital but didnt get an appointment till another month! Rung them and said i was supposed to get some bloods repeated (that mw cant do) and the said theyd ring me back if the wanted to see me sooner which they didnt. Anyway going for a scan on tuesday when i should be about 7weeks, so hopefully everything will be ok and i can relax a bit more.

Hehe, the day after i posted that i didnt have much morning sickness it cranks it up for me! As much as i hate feeling like this, it is reassuring to have it crazy huh Also got an appointment with consultant for next week so fingers crossed everything will go well.

Re: Debs Pregnancy updates
I'l start with the good news...i had a scan on tuesday which showed one little baby with a good heartbeat measuring 7w3d...i was very nervous going in and on some level had prepared myself to see the worse.. so it almost took me by surprise to see my little bubbas heart beating away...i instantly connected with it and felt love for the wee bub. Today I had my first and what may be my only appointment with the consultant at the hospital. I was really anxoius all day but hadnt anticipated how upset i would feel being back at a hospital...and having to meet with a consultant. Even though it wasnt the same one i stil felt angry at them in a way for not saving my boy and felt really upset that they stil couldnt give me Ezra back. Do i sound crazy? Anyway he basically said there was nothing he could do for me and because my 1st pregnancy was normal i should be ok. That really didnt make me feel any better. He also referred to my last pregnancy and said 'oh that was full of drama wasnt it, we dont like drama'. But he said it so casually like it was the drama of high school or something. Anyway 5mins and my appointment was over and he said 'go have a coffee and some cake' and that was it! WTF! I was teary through the whole appointment and just left feeling a bit shattered and really missing Ezra Anyway just needed to vent...

Re: Debs Pregnancy updates
Big hugs Debs, I know how you feel! I was the same with my first appointment when I got pg with Shawna. I was angry at them, hated being back at the hospital and had similar comments from the specialist. Wanted to hurt someone!! Fortunatly things did get better as I relaxed more - which is very hard to do! So no you dont sound crazy at all!

Well didn't that specialist just sound like a big ball of fun! NOT! If he doesn't show any compassion towards people he is obviously in the wrong job!
Anyway yay for the little heartbeat and so glad you got that first nerve wracking step done problem free. Looking forward to hearing more.

Hi Debs. I haven't been on here for a while - hence the late congratulations on your pregnancy! Love the scan pics and look forward to hearing more progress reports. Your experience at the hospital sounded awful. Can't believe how un-feeling some people are!!! Take care

Re: Debs Pregnancy updates
Hi Debs, i haven't been on much lately and cannot remember whether I said congrats or not, on your pg. If not (((((Congrats))))) I am so happy for you! Love the scan photos, and the little one does look like s/he is waving Sorry to hear about the consultant and his lack of compassion - people say some dumb things!!!! I personally changed hospitals, which helped alot, but being in Akld, more options are available. In saying this, I took Sophie to a pead 3wks after she was born, as i had some concerns (mainly anxious mother syndrome) and he said a couple of things like -"Well, you finally have your little girl", and does she look like the other one (meaning Satori). They don't sound like bad things, but they kind of ruffle your feathers when you have lost a child, because the new child does not replace them. Anyway, I hope everything is smooth sailing from here, and if you need any moral support throughout feel free to pm or post as i know how complex this particular roller coaster ride is Take Care & Hugs

Re: Debs Pregnancy updates
awwww cute little baby bump!
I've looked at the site which was rather interesting!! haha. A friend of mine has used the chinese chart for years now. She thinks she has used it about 55 times and it has only been wrong 4 times. 2 of those times was for the same person. It was right for me and it has been right for everyone I know!
I have a copy of it and I'm happy to post it if anyone wants to have a look! It goes on the mother's age at conception and the month of conception.
