GLad to hear that you got to hear the heartbeat. So sorry your little guy is sick. I think you will start to feel more into this pg as time progresses. I know what you mean and I felt the same way too.

Hi Lynne

Totally know how you feel about distancing yourself from the pregnancy at first. It was ages until I could really appreciate that this baby was really on the way.

Hate those breath holding moments until the m/w gets a heartbeat at each visit! She was horrified the one time I said to her 'oh, so the baby hasn't died since the scan then?'.......cause I honestly thought that it probably had (and had prepared myself for it too).

I couldn't even bring myself to tell my workmates about the pregnancy until about 20 weeks, as I couldn't face telling them if I'd had a m/c.

I hope you can enjoy this pregnancy soon, and look forward to bringing that lovely new baby home.

Lizzie

Another update.
Had the anatomy scan today and wow it was cool to see my buba moving around with 5 fingers on each hand and 5 little toes on each foot.
Today baby was doing head stands fusing my pelvis to balance on. Which made it hard for the scanner lady to get all the measurements for head and stuff in the brain that they look for. But she got it in the end and everything looks perfect.
Baby is spot on for dates and everything is where itshould be.....even got to see what it was...yah!!!
Told Cam and showed him the pictures we got printed out...he was so proud of his baby.............!
Baby kicked me so much when I was getting scanned so I don't think s/he liked it! Wow after that buzz I wanna do it again just to watch baby some more.
DP is over the moon too and I think he was going to get hassled when he got back to work today as the girls in the office wanted to know what baby was...so will see if he cracked when he gets home tonight.
Midwife appointment in another two weeks.
Man I feel like mybelly has popped out some more too...will update my belly shot sometime soon. Will be cool to actually have the progress photos to go back and look at.

Hi all , Had midwife visit today..All good and bubs is still measuring great for dates and moving around like she has ADHD LOL.
I have another scn booked for 30 weeks as there was a cyst in babies brain but it has all been explained to me and nothing else appear out of sorts. It is a growth develpomental thing that goes away and scanner said I wouldn't need one as it would be gone by then..but my midwife being as great as she is has offerd me to have another one..Who can say no when you get to look at bubs again LOL!!!!
Am back on Antibotics as have broncitis again but hey it is winter!!!

Gee haven't been around for awhile so thought I better so some reading an some updating....
I am now 28 weeks and feeling every day of it LOL..Have posted a 26 week bump so will do one this week as I have definetly popped out more.
I have still been vomiting and feeling genreally crappy but now have meds to releave some of that sick feeling. My son has just got over the chicken pox and having him home 24/7 was hard work when ya don't feel 100%. But hey he is back at preschool now and I have some minutes in the day to myself to chill!
Isn't it funny how you get to a certain point in your pregnancy and think gee that went fast but still in the same snese feel like its going to be forever til you meet your new person. If this one is as early as Cam then I only have 4 weeks to go geee and I am so not ready for that so will be counting down the days and weeks after 32 weeks hits..I so don't want another NICU babe but if that happens then I know babe is in the bet place.
So am suffering the normal things in pregnancy like
vomitting
reflux
Aches and pains
feeling large
lack of sleep
tireness ..ok i will stop there as I know some of you others are going thru excactly the same stuff heh heh....

Sorry to hear that you aren't feeling the best still. All worth it in the end though huh!

Just think - the time is less until the end than it was to the point you are at (if that makes sense)

Reflux sucks - hope all things manage to pass soon!

Hey all,
Had midwife visit yesterday and all going ok!
I am still being sick but am handling i ok I guess.
Bubs is measuring small for daes but not concerned at mo because I have been sick, plus I never carried large with my son either! Will check the growth and fluid at next scan next friday!
I feel huge though!!!!
Will be going onto weekly visits after the scan because of prem erm labour with cam...as they don't know if it will happen again or not. Plus baby head is down already..thought so from how I feel like I have a waddle going on already lol!!!! As long as she stay in there longer than cam (32weeks) I think I will be happy!
Well not much more to update..will post a pic of bubs from scan next week asap for all to see!

Glad things seems to be going well for you Lynne.

Are you having another scan because of Cam being early last time?

I have no more scans :(

One thing that I'll have to do that I haven't before is MRSA swabs - eeek!

Anyway, all the best for the scan :)

Hi all again,
Had scan yesterday and all is well!
Baby is still defintely a girl and she is weighing about 1.4kg approx and the developmental cyst in the head was just that and has gone. All heart, bladder, kidney liver etc are all fine! So midwife can stop saying I measuring small for dates now...I just hide my babies well...even though I know she not hiding and I am huge compared with when carrying Cam!
Got a picture of her face so as soon as I loa it on the computer will post it up for ya too see!
Have gone onto weekly midwife appointments now b/c of having Cam early...gee only 2.5 weeks to go if this one as early as him!!!!OMG!!

Glad the scan went well, and they were able to put you at ease as far as 'being small for dates' is concerned. Must make you feel better.

Can't wait to see the picture of her face!
