Thanks Ally for posting about my birthday! - I am 41 now which starts to sound old! Had a lovely day though with family.
Lauriel yes I can't wait to see how similiar/different our baby boy is to Amelie (apart form the obvious under the nappy bits of course!)
Saw our OB on Wed and had CTG monitoring and OB is very happy with the results - said it was 'textbook' so that was reassuring. Must say I am feeling tireder as tummy gets bigger and all that. I am going to have a quiet day today as did not sleep so well last night - those vivid dreams fof pregnancy eh?
Two weeks tomorow! One day at a time though...

Melanie...yep definitely take it one day at a time. If you're at a loss for something to do, I'd be happy to meet for a coffee or hot chocolate - just let me know.
Can't wait to see some pics of your little guy. If I remember rightly, he looked quite similar to Amelie in his scan pic - same lips as his big sis!
Take care and may the days fly by for you.
Claire

Thanks Claire - yes I was looking at his 23 week photo again just last night - I wonder how he will look now he has grown and quadrupled in size!
Finding that resting is a good thing for me - I get grumpy when tired cos I get sore and well, tired! Thanks so much for the offer to meet - if I get some energy I'll take you up on it for sure!

Have just checked out EBB and she sounds like she is well, has 2 days to go.
Melanie, Hope the next two days go quickly for you, we are all thinking of you and your new little bubs. Hope the delivery goes quick and painfree, (lol). Look forward to hearing your birth story and seeing pics of your new little bubs.

Hi I am here and okay!
Sorry but have been pretty tired and not good at sitting so have not always got onto here. Also that horrible russian hacker had hijacked the board when I tried in the last 24 hours - yay for this site being back on!
Dh, my family and I are getting very excited and bean is being very good with lots of movements (like 10 in 10 minutes!) so I am feeling very hopeful. Especially since he is 'coming out the sun roof' which takes a lot of the scary unknowns out of his arrival.
I had my BTs today and we go into hospital at 7.30am on Monday and all going well will be meeting our dear baby boy at just after 9am, then into recovery for a few hours and onto the ward - probably have to share a room with up to five others as wgtn hospital is very crowded with the renovations at the moment. Oh how I do wish for a single room!
Could I text one of you with his arrival? Will have to be in hospital for 3 to 5 days. PM me a mobile number and I will get it sorted. Thanks so much.
I have been doing meditation tapes daily which I sure has been helping and just try to be really strong to not let my mind go down the wrong paths, I am sure you know what I mean! I have been very tired with though which I am sure is just the level of energy required to cope.
Hope everything is going well for everyone. Thanks for thinking of me Ally, Emma and angel baby.
Best wishes and love,
Melanie and 'bean'

WOOHOO - It is such great news that Melanie's little boy is here safe and sound 8 pounds 6 too so a nice healthy weight!!!!
I texted Melanie tonight to tell her about all the congrats she has been getting here and on the EBB...so many people were thinking of her today and wishing her well.
Anyway, she sounds like she is doing fantastically...
Quote: We are just so in love with him. He is very peaceful and already feeding. I feel such relief and joy.
I also asked about his name...apparently it is down to a shortlist of three

Photo of baby Hugh
Hi everyone,
Sorry I have been so long gettting on here - have been a bit exhausted from being low in iron and just working on recovery from the op and getting to know our little boy and how to be a mum!
Here is Hugh Carter (surname) at three days old in hospital - the smile must be wind eh?!
To see him born alive and pink and noisy was the biggest relief and he was brought to my chest all heavy and warm and then taken over to the edge of the room to be checked and I could not take my eyes off him. Cried tears of relief on the way to recovery and ofetn since.
I'll go grab another photo now.
Lots of love,
Melanie

Here Hugh is asleep on the first day back from hospital - he does look very similiar to Amelie which is in some ways lovely, some ways hard but actually I prefer it even though its hard so we can have an idea of what she would have looked like with her eyes open.
Its so great to finally be the mum of a live baby and be able to feed him and grow him and watch him change.
Righto I'd better go get some rest again - dh had banned me from the computer cos I have been so tired!

Melanie, he is gorgeous. Sometimes newborns can be quite funny looking but Hugh is just beautiful. Hope you get lots of rest, don't push yourself to do too much.

Melanie,
He is perfect, what a gorgeous wee boy, and yes, he does resemble Amelie, it's those lips. Isn't it an amazing feeling. Keep those pics coming, take care of yourself, I know, hard to do, all you want to do is take care of your baby that you forget to take care of yourself, well, this is what I've found anyway.
Oooohhhh, I'm sooo clucky
