Hey everyone,
Just thought that I would update you all quickly on how lil Mr is doing.
Well he is now 655grams and gaining which is great news.
His feeds got put up to 'full feeds' last night which is 9mls because his longline tissued and had to come out.
Today they uped it by adding fortifier and to start with he coped well with it, then this afternoon he threw it up and it obviously was not good cause he started having desats and needed a fair amount of o2 to help him out and suctioning and needless to say he is no longer having fortified milk.
Both of his eyes are finally open not that I have seen them open much at all, but he can if he had the energy to do so.
He is still on CPAP and that is working well for him.
He has had a few apneoas and desats but mostly just Bradycardias (low heart rate), But hey he is doingbetter than anyone ever thought he would.
I promise some photos, I have taken a milky bar kid picture but Milky bar does not come in king size and I have also taken a Kit Kat one cause I think we need a break..lol
Well I will see what I can do about getting those off the camera tomorrow morning.

Great to hear he's gaining weight. He is doing so well for one so young

Yay Lisa, glad to hear wee Cort is growing well and impressing the staff in the unit. I agree too that you need a break! If only it was that easy
Have been thinking of you and your family often, and my family are keeping baby Cort in our prayers. Trying to work out if I am brave and/or random enough to come and visit.

thanks for sharing your precious lil cort with us, I am so honoured you are sharing him with us, as we all can only imagine how busy you must be, and to come on here and update us and put pics up is just awesome. Thanks heaps.

Wow Lisa, look at your gorgeous wee man! He is so tiny, and so perfect! I would love to come and visit, I'll text you in a few days. I'll come when the gremlins are with the nanny, but I'll leave it a week or two coz they're both sick atm and even tho I'm fine I'd hate for one of their bugs to hitch a ride to the hospital with me

lol Emma you are naughty, you could have come visit anyways aye. But Thank you.
I will get my mate to take Kita home on Thursday so I will be at the hosp during visiting hours and you can come meet this lil man of ours. Oh and me too...lol
Cort is doing good, pale lil man he is at the moment because his Hb levels are dropping, so muc h more and he will be having a blood transfusion (will be good once it is done cause then he will have colour and hopefully a bit of energy)
He is up to 700grams and is still on 9mls which is being fully fortified again but he is spilling it and his bowels have developed loops and his tummy is distended but he is coping with it all fine at the moment besides bradys and desats. Has not had an apnea for a few days which is great!
Kita spent a lil time with him today and here are a few pictures of that.

Awww what a cutie! And he has more hair than both my gremlins combined lol they are baldies! And it really puts into perspective how tiny he is seeing his hand with Kita's. I bet she enjoyed being able to spend some quality time with him.

I am looking forward to meeting you guys on Thurs! A plague on anyone who dares come near my house with germs before then! And I know I didn't have to buy a pressie, but Willie has said I'm not allowed to buy anything else for my girls so I have to get creative and buy stuff for other people instead
