Hello everyone and thank you all so much for your txts, thoughts and my lovely visitors. Everyone has been so helpful and kind it has touched our family so much.
Well I came home yesterday and had to leave my lil man in the hands of the hosp staff which thankfully for our first night was a lovely lady who I trust completely.
Cort I doing so good it is almost too good to be true.
I will get the twix bar up there for you Manda cause tiny twix has a ring to it and I like twix so two deals in one sounds good to me.
Cort is actually really long and I mean really long (35cm approx) which makes him look so much tinier cause with that height and that weight (which they think could actually have been less cause the scales are not working properly) makes him look so so lil.
His legs are skinner than my lil finger and his head is smaller I say than a tennis ball. And yes that is blonde alright and white as snow eye lashes.
Seems very odd calling him a him after so many girls but great all the same (and i get to go shopping cause we own no unisex or boys clothes.)
Cort is having 1ml of ebm every 2 hours as of today and is seeming to cope ok with it. So here are a few lil pics till I am back with more (may be a two day thing cause I am up there as long as I can)

Lisa he is gorgeous! I hope you are managing to get some rest and not finding it too hard being home without Cort. We pray he will continue to do really well and grow strong.

A day in the life of Cort....
Well actually there is not heaps to tell you at the moment, he is still on CPAP and besides when he is handled he is doing great.
He was weighed yesterday much to my distaste ( Myself and a few other staff think he should have been left because he hates being touched and starts causeing trouble but hey) he is now 610grams with tubes still attached (not all just a few)
I have to go to the shop and get the twix and a milky bar which are the two things we agree to measure him by...lol

Thanks for sharing another pic of Cort Lisa. Wow, he has a wee way to go before he'll be able to fit into his teddy bear clothes. I can still picture Laine in her ones looking oh so cute

Wow Lisa, he is so teeeeennnyy, thats the out fit I was gonna get ya Love that wee vest GROW CORT GROW. Great to hear he's doing well. I'm surprised they insist on weighing him and touching him if he gets distressed when they do. I can't wait to met him in person. Sorry I haven't been to visit again, even just to see you, I've been wanting to but with the buggies and all I didn't think it was such a flash idea. Our love is with you all though, but I'm sorry I have to say most of it is with Cort

Cort never ended up having his scan the dept lost his form and so it will be on Monday now.
1 week old today!!!
Manda, It is a cute outfit aye, we made them take it off the teddy on display so we could buy it...lol
I was pissed that they weighed him but they had to cause they were thinking he had lost a lot more than that and wanted to work his medicine doses out and how much nutrition he is needing.
And by all means all Loves and thought to him, It breaks my heart looking at him and seeing what they do to him and you can tell it has to hurt but what can you do, But lOVE.

Well, A very long day in the unit today.
Cort himself has had a good day, not causing too much trouble at all, But there is a baby in the space beside him that I doubt will be making it through another night....
Cort had his brain scan this afternoon and all is good, no bleeds which is what they were looking for, so makes for a very happy Mummy and Daddy. Aww and one eye is now open and the other I think will be open by tomorrow when I go up.
I will post more pictures tomorrow.
