About 2 months ago now, DH and I had a yelling match (he was feeling betrayed I'd been venting and ranting on a public forum about private stuff and read and printed all my posts from EBB (most of the ranting was done on a PM though)) followed by a discussion and we agreed that it was time to face the fact that we were over.
We're still sharing the house but sleeping in separate rooms. There was little point in arranging a rental house and getting on the benefit for 3 months, which would have meant wasting money since I'm flying to France in April with the kids (and coming back to live in NZ).
We're still civil and kinda friendly to each other and I am pretty sure we both feel immense relief to know where we're going. We've both been told by different people that we looked happier now than in recent months. All that tension was destroying my soul.

Yes it's a mutual decision and we're both determined to keep things amiable because it's better for the kids this way. We've been going to counselling to work out a parenting agreement and I've been talking to a lawyer and she's drafting a letter for the man and working out a buyout figure. I can't afford this house so he's buying me out.

When I get back from my nice holiday in my home country, I'll be moving out with the kids and finding a house to rent and a part time job too. See? I have *plans*!!

Also, adding to my tattoo on 31 March. That's a back to front pic (thanks PhotoBooth) of a slap on tattoo Eloise gave me but it kinda shows what I'm getting. 2 butterflies, one for Eloise and one for Aidan above Chloe's sunflower. Not sure what colours to get, I was thinking pink and yellow for Eloise and blue and yellow for Aidan, the yellow linking them to the sunflower and Chloe.

Such a sad update yet a beautiful ending. I think that the way you are both handling it is really good. Its a lot easier to be civil when there are children involved.
The yellow on each of the tattoos are very special and a great way to link them subtley.

I love the idea of the colours for the butterfly tattoos, I think that will look lovely.

Aww that does suck, but at least for he kids you can make it work.

Let me know when you are back from France. I am making quite a few trips to Wanganui now so we should try and catch up one of those days (if you are going to stay there).
