Re: Our Darling Lisa - Photo added
I know what you mean about all the friends and family Lisa has had around her and I thought the same about Ian, I don't intend to be losing contact with him. I'm sure he won't be coming for coffee and a chat during the week like Lisa did, it's my guess he will be working, although he is totally welcome. It's time to band together for Ian and the kids. I'm still to sort out what we will do with the moey we have collected, feel free to make more donations if you are able. So far it's a possible donation to breast cancer research, just need to find out how, and the remainder either in partial vouchers and the rest in the trust fo rthe kids, or all to the trust.

Re: Our Darling Lisa - Photo added
I know what you mean about it being so cruel, it just isnt fair GOD DAMN IT!!!!
Manda that is a great idea about a donation to the breast cancer reaserch, and for the kiddies too. You are so right we do need to band together and be there in some way to support Ian and the kids, it just makes my gut wrench to think of poor wee Kita and Cort growing up not knowing their darling Mummy

Yes please do let us know what the funeral details are as I'd like to make the trip up there. Just have to figure out how to get from the airport to where the funeral is - maybe taxi - shudder.
I really can't believe that she's gone - maybe more not wanting to believe it. Those photos brought tears to my eyes - Lisas such an inspiration to all - my heart just breaks...

Re: Our Darling Lisa - Photo added
Here is some of the emails I received today, (bits out of them for info) "For those who wish to come celebrate Lisa's life together we are having a service on Saturday 11-04 at 3:30pm. Held at Manukau Memorial Gardens, Puhinui" and "Just a quick note, also to follow after the service, there will be a reception at the Papakura Normal School Hall. Anyone that would love to help with this please email me amie@coverstaffrecruitment.co.nz, or phone 021 871418. If you can bring a plate that would be fantastic, if you can let me know that would be even better. Thankyou to those who have already contacted me, you are a great bunch" Alana poped into work today, and I think we are all feeling the same here, trying to reach out and support each other, via internet. We both thought it would be good to try and catch up, does anyone want to catch up before the funeral in Manukau somewhere, maybe we could met at Butterfly creek for lunch.

Re: Our Darling Lisa - Photo added
Butterfly creek is a fab idea, I was thinking of going there before anyway. I'll be picking Claire up from the airport at 2 so we'll be there right after that (hadn't told ya yet Claire, didn't think u'd mind much). Telly, I would pick u up but if I have my car there will be no room (2 car seats in the back, it's a 4 seater, 2 front 2 back), if I manage to swindle Dhs car it could be ok. I'll have my T-shirt just in case, although I might go and spend my stax voucher on something special to wear.

Re: Our Darling Lisa - Photo added
Oh hell. I just don't know what to say. I've been a member of TLO since it first started up, and it has been a pleasure and a privelege to get to know you all. I will miss Lisa's contributions on this forum and her friendship. I only hope she knows how much we all appreciated her. I'll talk to DH about coming up for the funeral, but I'm not sure quite how I'm gonna manage it. It would be lovely to meet some of you finally.

To anyone who needs a bed, I am in Papakura now, and could put up at least 4 (if you don't mind the sofas). Also would have spare seat room in the car.
PM me, or Manda.
Hugs to you all Rae xox

Re: Our Darling Lisa - Photo added
I'm planning on coming to the funeral and would love to meet up at Butterfly Creek beforehand, even if it's just for a coffee. I can be there anytime that suits everyone else. I'll be coming from the bach at Huia out west so probably at least a 40 min drive.
Also wondering what time we should aim to go on to the funeral as I'm guessing it will be quite big, will parking be a problem? (I don't know Manukau at all) Might pay to be there a bit early in case?

Re: Our Darling Lisa - Photo added
I'm happy to meet at Butterfly Creek earlier to give us more time together, the airport is only a 5 - 10 min max drive from there so can just pop out to get Claire and back again. I was thinking the same about it being big, hundreds I reckon, I think at least 1/2 an hour earlier, not sure about parking.

Maybe, she knows I need somethig so obvious, short of her appearing on my couch and telling me I'm being a doofus I'm always wondering, BUT, it will be so nice to meet everyone, and I think it will be the biggest TLO gathering since the beginning, so pretty cool, just heartbreaking circumstances, tissues anyone

Re: Our Darling Lisa - Photo added
I should elaborate re: the sign thing. I have had what I like to think of as signs from Trinity over the years, but still waiting for that sign that can't be explained away, even my white rose on the pink rose bush was explained away with a scientific explanation. Lisa and I always talked about these signs and how we were waiting for that 'one'. Although we never talked about her giving me a sign, I kinda hoped it went without saying, so.....Lisa hun, whenever you are ready, I'm waiting, luv ya babe, mwah.
