Re: Our Darling Lisa - Photo added
Oh Manda you have got me going again... It will be soo cool for all of us to get together before hand. I am easy with what ever time, am coming up on Friday, and staying at Ma's, in Botany. At this stage I will have Jess with me and maybe Bayden, might have to see if DSF can look after him or maybe DSS. Hmmm might have to go and ring Mum methinks...

Ok its possible to cry ya heart out, smile and be happy and sad all in the one minute. You gals have just done that to me from reading all your posts. If I didnt have my ex bosses funeral down here I would be digging all pockets to get funds to get up there and join in for the meetup and saying goodbyes to Lisa. OMG lisa....we all miss you so much. Manda, hugs huney, you no lisa so well, her sign to you will be least expected and probably a goofy one too. Hugs to all here

Re: Our Darling Lisa - Photo added
Talking about signs, while i was at work this afternoon, I drifted off thinking of Lisa (again), and then on the radio comes ' will you know my name" by eric clapton, then this afternoon while i was on my trainer and watching Wheel of fortune, once again i drifted off thinking of Lisa, and the word they were trying to guess was a song "Angels by Robbie Williams" coincidence or Lisa coming through. hmmmmmmm
Butterfly creek is about 5 mins from the Manukau memorial gardens so we will be pretty close. I am happy to met anytime after 12, I will be driving up from Whangamata as we are going away for easter. We could maybe car pool also from B C, if parking will be a problem, or we could go earlier and go visit Laine and Eden before the funeral. Just a few suggestions.

Count me in too. Not sure about transport, I'm not allowed to drive XH's fancy new car but I guess he could always drop me at Butterfly Creek or take the kids there himself and stay there while we girls go to the funeral. (anyone has a spare seat in their car for me?)

Re: Our Darling Lisa - Photo added
Hey DF tell you XH to pull his head in!!! Now is not the time for him to be a SOD! I will have Bayden with me, DSF and DSS are both busy on Saturday, but DS will be good...might just have to bribe him . I think that we need a list of who is going to be at BC and the funeral and who needs transport etc... will start a new thread.

Lisa,
It was a long time ago, but it was pleasure to meet with you at the old cafe, I used to bump into you everywhere, you would always have a huge smile on your dial. You were a very brave women, one that I would also comment to my husband about. Rest in peace dear Lisa, you will be sadly missed. Its time for you to fly free, its time for you to be with your angels... Thoughts and prayers to your family at this very hard sad time..
Sara, Dylan, Beanie and Baby Lochlan

I've been having a look on the sites for cheap fares, but they are all full because of the school holidays so I won't be able to make it. Please carry my love with you too, I will be thinking of you all and Lisa on Saturday. Hugs to all.

Re: Our Darling Lisa - Photo added
My offer of a ride from the airport still stands for anyone that needs, and I agree with Ally that carpooling from BC to MMG might be a good idea as I suspect it is going to be a huge service - our Lisa sure did touch a few lives in one way or another.
Ally was saying it might be a nice idea to meet at BC a bit earlier so we all have time to have a catch up and reminisce before the service, sounds like a good idea to me.
One of Lisa's friends from NICU with Laine who I know thru OB is also coming up from Cambridge for the service and I've offered to let her hang with us as she won't know anyone else there apart from Ian who will no doubt be otherwise occupied. I hope that's OK?

PS. I know money is tight everywhere at the moment, but I am happy to contribute a few $$$ if it means one or two of you who can't make it can get here.

Re: Our Darling Lisa - Photo added
I am totally amazed at the love felt in this thread, one very very special lady who has touched all of our lives with her fighting spirit and strength which will never be forgotten. I feel very humble and Proud to belong to this site with the love and compassion shown, particularly at this sad time, yet I feel lisa is watching over us all shaking her head unbelieving (sp) at how she has affected us all just by being herself, she brought a lot of people together by sharing her stories and allowing us into her life during the good times and not so good. Although I never knew Lisa well I feel a deep sorrow that she has departed, and would of loved the opportunity to have gotten to know her better.

Can we donate the money to Lisa's trust that she set up?

Re: Our Darling Lisa - Photo added
I am sitting here in tears after watching Lisa's Story on Closeup!! Even DH was in tears and can see now why I so desperately would love to be with you all saturday.
We just dont have the money for me to go!!
I will be thinking of you all on Saturday!! I will be with you all in thought and wishing I could be there with you standing beside you holding your hands.
Lisa I just wished I got to meet you in person and I pray one day I get to meet you in Heaven.
