Post What in the hell is up with this?
Sorry for the angry subject line, but I feel a little bitter at the moment. I'm still trying to come to terms with the fact that we have lost Lisa, and now I've just found out that a friend's 13-mth old has just been diagnosed with a spinal tumour and is having surgery to remove it on Monday, followed by chemotherapy.

What in the hell is up with that? Why do crappy, crappy, horrible things happen to nice people? Sometimes I hate life.

Oh man, that sucks.

I'm with you, I just don't get it.

I'm at the point now where I don't feel sad all the time about Lisa, but, when I'm not thinking about it it's like I just haven't heard from her for a few weeks, till I remember, then it's just all sucky again. I was visiting another friend yesterday and had to choke back the tears when i was talking to her.

It's bad enough it happens to adults, mothers etc, but when it happens to babies, that's just all kinds of crap rolled up in one, someones got some answering to do.

:bighug: Emma and Amanda!!

Yep Cancer sure does Suck!!

I have a very good friend here in the Naki. They discovered her little boy had a tumour in his Stomach at age 9mths. A few days before they found out, she discovered she was pregnant again. Her little boy has beeing fighting it since Oct 07. He is currently in Starship at the moment going thru another round of Chemo as the Tumour has come back so the outlook isnt very good.

In 07 I watched my Fav Uncle pass away from Cancer. I miss him everyday. He was also my best friend. I was the only one who could growl at him for doing things he wasnt ment to do like mow his lawns!! When he was in the Hospice just before he passed away he refused to take his pain relief. His 4 kids tired all day to get him to take it but he would refuse. I arrived in the afternoon and within 10mins of me being there he had taken his pills. He was very stubborn and im just like him!! I know he is with my boys now and is looking after them like he said he would. I miss him terribly.

Amanda you know we are here for you!!

Going to firstly give hugs to all......my heart is breaking for ya all with all this crap!
I just can't believe that we are so tecq advanced in medicine and very friggin second person around us is being treated for or are dying of cancer.
Since Lisa passin I have had 3 close known people to pass because of cancer....2 breast, 1 cervial and another a tumour...I mean what is going on? I thought research on cancer was much more advanced...why are we watching loved ones fight to survive or to die from so many cancers.....I am positive being in my early thirties doesn't mean all my friends/friends of etc start dying......
Sorry feeling pretty pissed at the world too.

I am so with you there Emma. When I got told the bad news I was so shocked I couldn't beleive it. How can someone so young get this horrible disease.

My thoughts are with the family at this time, and Emma just working out if I can see them tomorrow when I head to Wellington tomorrow.

If you get there Becks, let them know I am thinking of them and have all of my family and colleagues praying for wee Greer. I'm going to arrange some kind of care package next week when I get back to NZ, some petrol vouchers and bits and pieces.

Its not fair is it - all the good, kind people are taken from us too soon while there is scum that still wanders the earth (sorry if that offends anyone - i don't mean too - just how i feel).

Sending you all big big BIG hugs
