Hi Jamie's mum

I live in Levin and I so wish I was a closer to you. I know what you mean about not talking to many people. I have actually stopped talking about our little boy. We only lost him on 22 January this year but my friends don't even ask how I am doing and if I ever bring up the subject with anyone it is met by this really awkward silence. When I first lost him I really wanted to sit down with another mum who had lost a baby as I knew she would understand exactly how I was feeling. I tried the local Sands group but as you know they don't really have meetings or any get togethers. I do go to Palmy every now and again so maybe I could let you know next time and we could get together. Take care of yourself. :D

Jamiesmum if you ever find yourself in the Naki let me know!! Would love to do coffee with you and have a chat. I will let you know the next time we head down your way as we sometimes head down to Wanganui/Palmasteron North.

Its a shame you dont have a good Sands Network set up in your area.

There is the big Sands Conference in Aug in Auckland which some of us are attending. Would be good to see you there.

I am from the Manawatu. I grew up up Feilding (but went over to Girls High), and now I live up in Waiouru. I often come down to Palmy from here to do shopping. I am actually down In Palmy this Thursday evening and then next week for surgery.

Hi and thanks for the replies,
be nice to meet up with some of you on your visits this way.
I also get to np often as my sisters in oakura.
As for the sands conference, do many of you get there and do you get much out of them?
I'd love to build some new friendships here
