Post a vent......
How disgusting is it, that people steal things off of graves at cemeteries. Josh and I went out to the cemetery today to visit TJ. His flowered hanging basket and the staff/hook that I had it on is gone. Not only is ours gone, but another family down the way had theirs taken too.

OK, What kind of ingrade would steal from a grave, much less-a grave of a baby. Have you no moral decency??????

And of course, the little thieves take the most expensive things. We wouldn't want to take the cheap stuff right?????

The cemetery has been having problems with people stealing things. I thought that where TJ was, he would be OK, cause we buried him in a private catholic cemetery, not the city cemetery. Just goes to show.....Some people will do anything to hurt the feelings and lives of others.

OK feeling a little better now that I've been able to yell out loud (on the computer)

Bridget

Some people have no idea, they've obviously never suffered a loss, or are just plain unfeeling, I'm so sorry this happened to you (and the other family).

Telly stole my words...That is so disgusting.I can't believe peope would do that. I love walking around the grave sites and seeing how others have done such lovely jobs for their loved ones....and hope some day way way later that someone will take care of mine like that.
But anyone who touches another persons loved thins on graves has no brain and no idea what they are doing when they steal things away from them.

Bridget...hugs to you and I hope they catch the person responsible for the thefts

Oh my goodness......
I just found out through the grapevine, that it was the church and the cemetery board who took off TJ's hanging basket and staff (and didn't notify us). My mom was at the cemetery today watering his flowers for me, when she saw this elderly lady who also had her staff and basket taken off. The lady told my mom that it was the church who took them. The elderly lady is upset because she can't bend down anymore to plant flowers, so she always put a hanging basket at her husbands grave.

My mom went home and called the cemetery board office who said that they did take down the staffs because they decided they were "dangerous" How are they dangerous??? I had Tyler's butted up against his stone, so they in no way come in contact with anyone.

Why would the church steal things off of a grave, and not notify us???

Does it look dangerous to you????

I know how you feel, where Thomas is laid to rest, we arent allowed to put anything on but real flowers. If you put anything else on they leave it there for a lil while then they remove it. Exception I think is Xmas where they leave things on a lil longer than normal.

I think it is really sad that of all people, the church is unable to leave your little angel to rest in peace.
I can't see any harm in Tyler's beautiful resting place.

Take care
Jacqui

That just seems rediculous to me. I am so sorry Bridget. I know where Nicole is, there were tons of regulations about the garden size and no one is to put lanterns or baskets, but she is near a few Greek families who have everything (and keep their sites beautiful) and no one has done anything yet. In fact that is one of the reasons I chose there over other sites, because others kept their sites so lovely.
