Hi guys,

I have had a look on trade me and they only have the new ones which cost $350. I was just wondering if any of you had one you were no longer using I could borrow through to Feb (and pay rental) or buy.

I know I could rent one at $39.95 a month but its going to end up about $270 for that.

Alternatively does anyone know how many weeks one has to be to listen with a stethoscope? I did this on the last day with Amelie and heard her heart beat well. I mean if it can be heard from say 20 weeks I could rent the doppler till then....

Not sure which fetal dopplers you saw on Trademe but I found several starting at $80 (perhaps the same as Manda's one?).

Yeah, those are the ones, I heard the heartbeat from about 12 weeks I think, I used a little bit of massage oil with mine.

Ah I see, thanks - will try my stethoscope first so not doubling up on stuff - I did not know the fetal doppler could be used from 12 weeks - that was clever of you Amanda!
