Post Quiet in here???
Has been very quiet in here the last few days?

How is everyone?

Me, not much happening, had monitoring yesterday and all was ok, then i went to delivery suite last night as I thought I might of been leaking fluid and they did a speculum exam and said no doesnt look like it. Other than that I have physio on monday and another monitoring on monday then counselling, scan and specialist on tuesday. I feel like I live at the hospital but hey its all good.

Hope this finds you all well.

Huggles
Kim

I was thinking the same thing, it is quite, how are we all doing.

I got 7 (not in a row) hours sleep last night, I woke up and had so much energy I scrubbed the bathroom top to bottom. I think we might have conquered the sleep issue (still touching wood). Loralei now only wakes for one feed and goes back down again without issue. I've also been out and about quite a bit the last week and she's been so good and tolerated it beatifully. I am so proud of her, if she could understand rewards I'd give her one, so she gets extra kisses, cuddles and I love you's (not that she is short of them).

Sounds like you've been busy Kim, must be helping the time pass a little quicker.

Hope everyone is well, take care all.

Glad to hear that you are well Kim, and that you are getting lots more sleep Manda.

We're all good at this end, a bit down today as it is our angels due date, but trying to focus on the little ones inside me - not too hard since they are jumping around like mad in there!

We took Maya to the circus yesterday and she loved it!

Emma

Sorry you are feeling down, but it is totally understandable. Even though you have your newbies bouncing around, there will always be thoughts of those we have loved and lost. Never feel bad for loving and remembering your angels. I think of our little Trinity Clair every day, and am thankful that she was part of our lives if ever so brief.

Take a little time to go and sit out in the sunshine and feel the warmth your angel is sending down to you.

I hope today is gentle on you and your DH & Maia.

Thinking of you
Rae

Emma - BIG HUGS girl - I know how hard this day must have been for you - I hope you managed to do something special.

Kim - Glad to hear things are going well - how are the baby names going?

Manda - glad you are winning in the sleep department - glad you found something that seems to be working for you!

Lisa - I was reading the little treasure magazine - did you have a wee thing written on the member pages? I'm pretty sure it was you :)

I must admit I have been a bit slack - but have been quite stressed and depressed - and its taking its toll.

Been suffering quite a bit in the pain department - very painful Braxton Hicks - have already been out a couple of times and thought i was in labour. Sometimes I can have pain all day - which isn't of too much concern to my MW but is to me. She seems to like using the 'please don't have your baby early' line with me - which is worrying - its not like I can do anything about it!!!!!

Other than that - we have been trying (when I'm not tired, sore or something else) to get out and about while we can before baby.

We are flying up to Auckland on Friday - so shall be interesting.

Gawd, listen to me, whinging away.

Hi everyone

I'm still here just pretty busy juggling my three little people. Holly is doing really well and seems to enjoy the chaos. Zac, my oldest boy, is probably doing it the toughest at the moment with starting school and all the changes at home but he is slowly adapting as are we. Alex, my DH, is home for one more week and then I'm going to be flying solo although he is going to borrow a second car from my parents for the first few weeks so he can come and go from work when I need him.

Kim - Glad to hear all is well with you and bubs. Are the days passing a bit quicker for you now?

Emma - I hope yesterday was kind to you and your family. Sending (((((BIG HUGS)))))

Manda - So great to hear that Loralei is sleeping better. You must feel like a new woman :D

Telly - I can totally relate to all the aches and pains you are having. I ended up having about 4 weeks of constant cxs before Holly's birth but I'm sure they helped increase my pain tolerance because the labour wasn't really that bad in the end.

Lisa - Is Laine sleeping much at night yet? We have been trying to wake Holly up a bit during the day so she sleeps better at night. She is often unsettled until very late in the evening then sleeps well till early morning like 5am or 6am.

Lizzie - How is Angus doing? I bet he is growing up so fast. I am really trying to make the most of having a newborn in the house this time because Holly is going to be our last baby and I am still so cluck cluck clucky

Hello ladies

Well I don't know about quiet. You all seem to have lots to report! Angus is doing really well, and stacking on the weight. He does suffer from a bit of colic in the evenings, but really its not too bad and we usually get 8 hours sleep with a quick feed and then another few hours on top of that.

Telly - bugger about those BH's, I had them quite painful as well, but noone gives you much sympathy eh? They can leave you feeling really exhausted after a bad day.

Kim - you are doing so well, only a little time left now and you'll have that lovely wee man in your arms.

Emma - those anniversary's are really difficult. If I start to feel sad I just like to remember how lucky lucky we are to have Angus around and it makes all the bad stuff seem not so bad anymore.

Manda - Wow, it makes the biggest difference when you get a good nights sleep. We struggle in the evenings trying to get a very tired and grumpy Angus to sleep, but once he is out he sleeps really well.

Lisa - I suppose that your wee girl needs to be fed so often its hard to get more than a few hours sleep at a time. I was also thinking that since she spent such a long time at the hospital that she probably hasn't gotten into much of a night time routine. I'm sure with all the noise and lights and constant stream of nurses, day and night must be much the same.

Here's a pic taken yesturday that'll bring a smile to all of you.

Oh and I meant to say:

Quick tip, if you can't get out of the house because of a screaming baby use Woolworths online shopping and have it delivered for free. Just enter the code 'babypack' in the coupon section at the end, and you get two free delivery's.

I have my second lot coming today and its so nice just to sit back and let someone else do the running around.

Lizzie

Sorry I haven't been around much. Matthew feeds every 2 hours and then is very fussy about sleeping. Sometimes the only peace we get is when he lies on our chests.

Manda, I am glad to hear that you wee girl is sleeping- advice accepted!!

Lizzie, OMG 8 hours!!! You are lucky!!

Lisa any suggestions? My man was in the NICU for almost 4 weeks and he seemed to sleep much better there (mind you, I wasn't there throughout the entire night back then).

Emma, sorry I am late, ((((BIG HUGS)))) I hope things are going better today.

Telly and Kim, I am looking forward to the big days!!

As for us, we have a tropical storm/potential hurricane coming our way. I am nervous. Hopefully it will change direction before Monday.

Jenn

lol, Well I use to be the person others would ask things of when it came to babies, but not this time around...
Laine is still a shocking sleeper, If she was baby number one there would be no baby 2, 3 or 4..lol
I have turned her Apneaoa mattress on to beeping to try and give her some noise she is use to but no.
She has reflux and has started on Zantac after the Gaviscon did jack to help.
Yes Telly that was a lil article I wrote in treasures, and in the next one there is a group shot of Akld peoples in the club news aswell.

Hi Lisa,
I hope you don't mind me putting in my 2cents worth. Loralei has reflux (silent reflux) and was on losec liquid, I had heard that gaviscon is not very succesful, the liquid losec wasn't really doing that well either and was told by quite a few people that the capsules are better, they're a bit fiddly to give at first as you have to break them open, but once you've found the easiest way (either a dropper, or a spoon with some breastmilk or I put them in her mouth and put her straight on my boob), it works wonders, well it has for Loralei, she hardly spills anymore and isn't in pain after every feed, she's generally much more settled, even her sleep is improving (still working on that one).

Thanks Love. Everyones two cents are more than welcome at the moment!
Well the Zantac has worked a bit for now, my biggest problem with everything is that it all has to be passed thru the neonatal ped before they can write a script (something to do with other meds and being prem)We see the ped again on the 12th to discuss it all, oh that and her lovely ability to turn grey!!
