Or for some reason have you thinking of your lil ones. Juat thought that it would be a good idea to share a few songs that remind me of my girlies and ones that I like. Fly of course The Red nose song cause we used that for a slide show of Laine. Who youd be today by Kenny Chesney Twila paris's song A Visitor from heaven that was played as we walked Laine out of the Chapel Bright eyes which was played taking her in In the Arms of an Angel China Roses which was played at Edens Funeral Glory Baby also played at Edens funeral. That is all I can think of for now..... |

So many....where to start...... I second In the arms of an angel. The Rose (it was our wedding song and is Trinitys birth flower) Peter Gabriel - I Grieve The Goo goo dolls - Iris Coldplay - Fix you and Swallowed in the Sea and Till Kingdom Come Heres the word to Till Kingdom Come (makes me cry just reading them) Kingdom Come Still my heart and hold my tongue I feel my time My time has come Let me in Unlock the door I never felt this way before And the wheels just keep on turning The drummer begins to drum I don’t know which way I’m going I don’t know which way I’ve come Hold my head inside your hands I need someone who understands I need someone, someone who hears For you I’ve waited all these years For you I’d wait till kingdom come Until my day, my day is done And say you'll come and set me free Just say you'll wait, you'll wait for me In your tears and in your blood In your fire and in your flood I hear you laugh, I heard you sing I wouldn’t change a single thing And the wheels just keep on turning The drummers begin to drum I don’t know which way I’m going I don’t know what I’ve become For you I’d wait till kingdom come Until my days, my days are done And say you'll come and set me free Just say you'll wait, you'll wait for me Just say you'll wait, you'll wait for me Just say you'll wait, you'll wait for me Donovan Frankenreiter - Butterfly If the road I travel goes bad If the life I live becomes the life i had I close my eyes, and I dream of my butterfly coming down to rescue me She's my butterfly She's my butterfly If the wind that guides you, pulls you away If the words that love you, ever ask you to stay I still close my eyes, and I dream of my butterfly coming back to rescue me She's my butterfly She's my butterfly Theres more, but I'll leave it there for now. Perhaps we should make a sticky subject with a list of songs? |

Oh, and a little ditty I sing (although not very well) to Loralei before I put her in her cot at night. Twinkle twinkle Trinitys star, how we wonder where you are, up above the world so high, our little diamond in the sky, Twinkle twinkle Trinitys star, how we wonder where you are. |

Amanda the words to that first song really got me. Just beautiful.. The one main one for me would have to be Gentle, gentle ( life of my life) Rebecca LaVelle, this is the song that is on Julia's website and what we were going to have played at her funeral if it had of worked.(my bad I burnt it onto the wrong type of disc ) |

I used to sing Twinkle Little star to Riley when I was pregnant with him and like you if I sing it now it's always "How I wonder where you are" |

Carley we played Gentle, gentle at the gremlins christening, it is a very beautiful, moving song. I made a CD of sad songs a few days after I lost our angel, and it still brings me to tears. Some of the songs you guys have mentioned are on there like Arms of the Angels and it's also got Seven Spanish Angels and The Dance (a really old Garth Brooks song) and Enya's Only Time and Far Away by Nickelback which came out around the time I lost the baby. |

I think that all songs now can be related back to our babies in some way. I was listerning to the radio the other day and titanic theme song came on and I just cryed my heart out. We played kermit the frogs "rainbow connection" at bradleys funeral and that makes me cry so much. Anne Bradleys Mum 12/11/06 - 14/04/07 |

It is so funny because we had two songs to play at bradleys funeral. The rainbow connection and Lou Reeds "Perfect Day" and they both played perfectly at home, at the funeral directors and at the church before hand. When it came time to play "perfect day" at the service it wouldnt play and just kept jumping back too "kermit". When we got home the funeral directors turned up and said they had played the cd after the service and it worked perfectly. The same when we played it at home. Im sure Bradley didnt want us to have that song. Even though it sums up our time with Bradley - Perfect. |

OMG Anne that has sent shivers down my spine as the same thing happened with us at Julia's funeral. I checked the cd before i left home and it worked, checked it again at FIL's before giving it to the minister and still no problems, but them Hmmm.... it didnt work at the funeral. DH even drove the ute up to the doors of the crem to play it in the ute and turn the sounds up ..... no go. Afterwards BIL tried it in their wagon and it worked, got home and it worked. Obviously Julia didnt want us to play that song. Strange how things work like that |

Watching Martha Stewart yesterday she had a guest artist, he was singing away and I wasn't paying alot of attention, but not long into the song I realsied it was something special. Here are the ltrics, I'm just trying to find a link to the actual song. Beautiful Goodbye-Josh Kelley It's hard to say goodbye When I'm holding out my hands Holding out my hands for love That opened my eyes Filled with tears that never dry For you the angels cry Goodnight, goodnight, my sweet love you're beautiful Goodnight, goodnight, the stars up above will be bright Despite a love bound and broken from the start Goodnight, my beautiful goodbye It's hard to comprehend Our beginning is the end Of a love that never had A chance to dance with you So I choose to take this pain And wish for more to say than Goodnight, goodnight, my sweet love you're beautiful Goodnight, goodnight, the stars up above will be bright Despite a love bound and broken from the start Goodnight, my beautiful goodbye Oh sweet angel of mine Gone to sail through the night In m heart you'll always be I hope that you'll remember me wherever you are Goodnight, goodnight, my sweet love you're beautiful Goodnight, goodnight, stare up above will be bright Despite a love bound and broken from the start Goodbye, Goodnight Oh, Goodnight, goodnight, my sweet love you're beautiful Goodnight, goodnight, the stars up above will be bright Despite a love bound and broken from the start Goodnight, my beautiful goodbye |

found this one too http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Ff5qJrPT7k George Canyon My Name Its cold in here fells like everythings upside down I can feel you talking but I can barley make out the sound I been kicking around these parts, feels like a year Im gonna change this world if I ever get out of here She wants to dress me in pink, paints my bedroom blue And I just laugh to myself, because only I know the truth This love is my only emotion Havent learned any fear any pain Its kind of funny with all this commotion I guess theyve got me, to blame And they dont even know my name And they dont even know my name Well Ive never felt so ready, think its finally time Cause that big old world is waiting, and its mine all mine Just then everything got real quiet, it got real bright And a man took my hand said dont worry, your mommas gonna be alright Then he opened the gate, & I followed him in Said you can wait right, here till its your turn again And his love is the one true emotion Heaven knows no fear no pain I never got to set my wheels in motion But they loved me just the same And they never even knew name Didnt even know my name You loved me just the same And you didnt even know my name |

Thanks Carley, I'm at work at the mo and can't access you tube cause it's blocked from here (contains offensive material ). Will have another listen when I get home. I think I remember martha blabbing on to Josh on the show about it being originally written for the Iraq troops or something like that. |

Hi guys Only just stumbled upon this post now and all your beautiful songs are making me teary-eyed too My favourite sad song that isn't even really a sad song is Welcome Home by Dave Dobbyn. Every time I listen to it I get all teary-eyed and think of our bubba. I loved the song so much when it came out, around the time we lost bubba and I wished so much that we could play it to him or her to welcome them home to us. My DH also arranged for him and I to go to see Dave Dobbyn in concert and I bawled my eyes out during the song (lucky it was dark at the concert venue). When I got pg with Holly I emailed Dave via his webiste and said how much I loved his song and how much it meant to me. I even asked if he would consider writing a new song just for the lost babies of this world. Anyway, I got a reply from his manager who said that Dave was away at that time but knew he would be moved by my message and the meaning I took from his song. I decided to play Welcome Home at Holly's birth, and I did, but I can't really listen to it anymore without crying so I don't play it very often. It occasionally plays on the radio and that is OK, it is nice to be reminded of Bubba and I think of the day when he or she can say Welcome Home to me. Sorry gotta go, blubbering now and can't see keyboard |
