Monday - Satori's 8mth anniversary of birth

Monday 11.30pm - Flynn wakes with major bought of Croupe. Considered doing the midnight dash to hospital, but found I had a dose of steriod left from his last bought 5 weeks ago. Anyway musical beds - Neil in Flynns, Flynn takes over 3/4 of the king and I sleep on the edge all night making sure he is still breathing.

Tuesday am - go to doctor to get more steriod - got ears/throat checked- all good

Tuesday 11pm ish - woken by Flynn. Temp of 40 degrees Pamol, panic, consider going to hospital, but last time we did this he had 3 failed lumber punctures (sp) so not keen - and neither is he. He still remembers them and he was only 15mths old. 12ish still hasn't come down so we try ibprofen(slightly out of date, but did the trick Musical beds again! Finally some sleep at about 3.30am.

Wednesday 5.30am woke up on the edge of the bed - Flynn 40.2 temp - same as above
Wed 8.00am sent neil to get more ibprofen.
Wed 4.00pm A & E cause my doctor only does half day on wednesday and as completely booked out. Flynn has tonsilitis on top of croup Antibiotics.
Wed 7.30 pm Had my Lorraine Linen Party that was booked for weeks. Needed that like a hole in the head
Wed 11.00pm Flynn 40.1 Temp Same as above, plus antibiotics, and of course musical beds
Thursday 6.30 am - as above
AF arrived

It is now thursday 10.45pm and so far so good Flynn is and I'm about to go to I hope I haven't jinxed myself

The worst part of all of this is the absolute fear that I have now when he gets sick. I have been panicking for the last three days and really need to calm myself at times, otherwise I would definitely be having frequent visits to the hospital.

Nothing worse than a sick child......even when you know what is wrong, you still feel so helpless.

Try to rest yourself, and think positive, "FLYNN IS GOING TO GET WELL!!!!"

Oh Yvonne that does sound like the week from hell. Poor Flynn, I hope that he gets better soon and you get the much needed rest that you deserve, and add to that that your AF arrived.

Yeh! Flynn slept thru!

He seems to be on the mend today, ( jumping around doing boy stuff )so hopefully things are looking more positive for the weekend

Oh Yvonne, what a crappy week. Big hugs from here sweet. Is Flynn still on the mend? Poor wee man. Gosh you and Neil must both be needing a few good nights rest, hopefully you will get a few sleep ins over the weekend, if that's possible.

Hey Chic, I was thinking about you the other day and wondering how you were going with the dreaded lurgy.

Flynn is still not great, but at least we seem to have gotten over the 40 degree temps. He is still grotty though - as i speak Neil is sitting outside his door while he tries to get to sleep - everytime Neil moves he cries. I might need to go and lay with him

Monday, may not be so good as I have builders coming to start on the Master Bedroom, so it could be a bit full on around here - it also depends on what is happening with Flynn at that stage to. I will give you a call Monday am if I can swing it.

As for sleep - lol - what is that - Its a distant memory
