Thanks for that Alana, I will give it a miss, nothing there that I think I would use.

Mum has been trying to teach me how to sew and it aint going too well  But I am sure I will get the hang of it soon.

Hang in there Kim, I hate to say it but practice makes perfect!
Altho it's hard to find lots of uninterrupted practice time with kids to look after!

Lizzie - I was really annoyed when I rang Honey Child and they told me that they couldn't even guarantee my order will be here by the end of next week! They've sent me half of it that they did have in stock (altho I had to accept a sub on one as they didn't have the color I ordered) and the lady I spoke to (Sarah not Charity) told me she didn't know why I needed 2 of each coz the girls "don't have to match do they?" Unimpressed! My poor agent has no idea what is going on either aside from having grumpy customers!

But the first half arrived yesterday with a few free inserts so am glad for that much at least.

I think it's a real shame coz as you said they are a good product, unfortnately plagued by poor communication and inventory control. I started a thread about it on OHbaby! and was amazed how many people had the same issues with orders not arriving on time.

ETA: The Mothers Instinct lady is lovely, the cream Peapods I ordered are apparently a couple of weeks away but she has been great with keeping in contact, and the Ecobubs lady was also great with contact. Can't wait for my new nappies to arrive!

Emma - yes I have to agree, those other two WAHM's are great to deal with. Its all about the communication. I almost don't mind that something might take 3 weeks to get to me so long as they keep me updated and let me know that nothing has gone wrong. I also have issues with TNN and not being able to say anything against HoneyChild as they have been targeted in the past by the competition. I think that we need to be able to say that their service needs improving but I'd get a complete slaying from others on TNN for saying anything. The one time I did post about having issues with them I had Charity on the phone telling me that she was disapointed in me  .

Manda - thankyou so much for the pattern. I wasn't sure about the size so I quickly made one into a fitted using velcro just to see. Its just so cute and fits beautifully.

I have also made these other two recently, but I think I'll make some pockets using your pattern now.

Nice Lizzie! And how much has Angus grown!

I couldn't resist the new Berryplush AIO's that Snazzipants have... so I ordered the girls a pink one each, they look soooo soft!

No worries Lizzie, they look great, I'm glad the pattern works for you, I have to admit I was a bit nervous about it because I have only ever seen one pocket nappy (in the flesh, or should I say fluff) and that the lonesome HH I have (before I saw your peapods Emma).

I just got some cute print fleece from Spotlight and am going to go on a nappy making binge (time allowing that is), watch this space for pics.

Oh and Kim, your naps are ready, I'll pop them in the post next week (mon/tues). Oh oh and Telly, yours will be going in the post then too, sorry, Corey was meant to take them to work on friday to send but forgot.

I have made two pockets from Manda's pattern so far, but had to use velcro because my snap order from GB's hasn't arrived yet! I also found some way cute microfleece in spotlight with helicopters on it (DH is a helicopter engineer so we HAD to have it).

I got some of the girly print fleece from spotlight. I've made a teddy bear nappy with the fleece on the outside and it's soo cute, I made it in time for the tddey bears picnic we're going to on thursday, will post some pics when I have them (they're in the wash at the mo, couldn't resist putting them on her as sson as I made them). Hmm, no teffy bear emoticon, might have to rectify that.

lol Manda

How did you do it with the fleece on the outside? Mum has made me 2 pocket fitteds and they are cute prints but I wish I didnt have to cover them up.

I did it with a layer of pul underneath, it worked really well and looks so adorable, really cuddly.

Oh you guys are all so talented, I love the nappies Lizzie!

I have just got some more fabric from Green Beans and am trying to find the time to make some more pockets! (I have 4 pink ones so far and am about to make 4 lilac ones) I'm finding things very busy with 2 kids at home and am back studying this year too. At the rate I'm going, I'm never going to have time to make enough nappies.

Does anyone have any pocket nappies (either new or used) that they want to get rid of? Julia is still in the S-M wee weka size.

Alana,
If you want me to make you some I'm quite happy to do that. I don't have any I want to get rid of at the mo. What the other girls have done is have the fabric sent to me with a little added extra (like a kind of payment, voucher/extra fabric...). Just thought I'd offer.

Kim, so sorry, Coreys rushed out again and forgotten to take your naps (he's not quite awake when he goes to work), I'll make sure they go tomorrow.

I've just had my first go at making a pocket with FOE and gussets - you were right Manda, the FOE is tricky to sew, but I love the finish. I stupidly pulled the elastic too tight round the front arms where the velcro is...but I guess you learn from your mistakes huh!

Manda thanks for your offer, I will get back to you on that. I've just bought a couple of used pockets from others on TNN. I think I needed to just have a rant... as in the past 2 days I have actually found the time to do some sewing.... by leaving the household chores so the place looks like a pigsty!

Has Microfleece inner and flannelette outer.

I have used it and it seems to work fine.
