DONATIONS - Site costs due again :(
eta - site costs due, see final post for plea for help Hi all, I was just wondering what people would think about a TLO donation account. The point of it to be solely to cover costs of the website (approx $200 a year) and any excess received would be given to SANDS so we would not profit at all. Let me know what you think. ETA - OK so to get the ball rolling, here's the account number for those who would like to make a donation. It's an online saver I had set up a while ago that I no longer use. It has no fees to which is a bonus. 03 0114 0423829 025 Online saver - When making a donation perhaps use 'TLO donate' as reference, feel free to put your name or if you wish to remain anonomous that is ok too. I thought that when things get rolling we'd look at initially donating excess after site costs to SANDS, and after that look at different charities that we feel deserving (might start a list later). Early days though. Also I may start showing the balance if anyone would like to see account activity, but most of you know us and know that we are trustworthy, it would still be interesting though. Thank you in advance.

Excellent idea
I would be more than happy to contribute, because, if it wasn't for this site and all you wonderful girls, I would have had to have taken this journey all alone.
Hugs

I'm in. I agree, the support I have found here has been completely immeasurable so to give a few $$$ back is insignificent compared to how much I've gained from gettting to know all you lovely ladies.

Excellent, thank you to those who have donated.
The site has been paid for for another year Corey has also added us to Googles sponsered links using your generous donations which means we will hopefully reach more people in need. If you're not sure what this is about, google stillbirth, miscarriage or sids and have a look on the right hand side, there we should be, don't click on it though as there are a limited number of clicks a day, but we should also be on the first page or two of google.
There is still a healthy $100 in the account.
I spoke with Claire from SANDS about donating the remainder and she suggested waiting until just before the next October 15th and that we can also decide how the $$ is spent, so get your thinking caps on ladies, any suggestions?
Thank you again for your continuing support of our site. Love ya's all.

Manda what a wonderful Idea to raise money for this site and SANDS!!
I cant make a payment Online so how much do they charge to do on over the counter and also which bank is it set up at?
I will organise making a payment next week might have to sweet talk my Mum and get her to do it via her internet banking and I will give her the money whilst she is here for Easter.
Over the week before Christmas I spent that week Fund Raising for our SANDS Group in New Plymouth and we managed to get close to $1200 by doing a Raffle and Donations for putting special Cards on trees for Lost Ones. It is amazing how many people out there have suffered a loss!! What really got us was Men who shed tears for children they have lost. It sure made you sit back and realise they do grieve too!! One man shed tears telling us about his little girl he and his wife lost 32 years ago and they still buy her Christmas and Birthday present every year.
So Manda I am so happy to give something back!!!

Hi Fleur,
Nice to see you
The account is an online saver account so deposits can only be made online (I think), it's been set up that way because there are no fees on the account at all.
It's really nice to hear stories of people remembering their children after so long. There's always that fear that maybe we'll forget (sometimes). It's nice to know that men show their emotions so openly too.
Thank you so much for your message and any donations you (and anyone for that matter make). It has really eased some pressure here I can tell you.
