Hey Lizzie, I probably wont be needing that hire kit now as I have brought heaps of nappies off TM and of course Kim , plus I am going to have a try at making some of my own . So thanks anyway Hun.

Hey Manda, how do you put your snaps on? Have you got a snap press? Am wanting to make my own and use the snaps, but dont know if I want to fork our on a snap press as not too sure of the price of em. Might just go for velcro for now.

I got a snap press, but you're in luck, Greenbeans have just dropped the price of theirs, they're only $50 now, they used to be about $70. The die sets are $24. You need to get size 20.
Snap press http://www.greenbeans.co.nz/index.php?m ... cts_id=273
Die set http://www.greenbeans.co.nz/index.php?m ... cts_id=550
They used to have free shipping for purchases over $10 but they charge shipping now, but then the press is soo much cheaper than before so i think it's still cheaper overall.
I've found it's worth it. You don't just use it for nappies. I've used it to hlp keep envelope necks closed (you knoe, on baby clothes), for homemeade bibs, mama pads (if you decide to go that way), the kids jackets, making adjustable waistbands on kids pants (like the PP ones).
Ick, gotta go, Gabe just puked on me.

You go girl, for a non nappy sewer, you're a pretty good nappy sewer
You'll have to let me know how they go, the one I made Gabe gets so pretty serious wing droop, I might add some velcro to the wings and see if that helps, it looks cool though. I'll take a pic later.
Better go, my 2 are running riot in the Garden, Gabes already escaped the ball pit once and crawled around the concrete

Well thought it was about time I got myself somewhat sorted in the nappy department and went through the stash today. I have got 18 nappies (one of which I made) and 28 inserts!!! all of the nappies excluding the one that I made are OSFA and luckily most of them came with the inserts so I only had to make up about a dozen more inserts and now Ive got the 28. Will that be enough inserts or should I make a dozen more? I am now on the look out for about 6 more OSFA but would like some patterned ones as all the ones I have now got are solid colour or plain white. So if you see some funky patterned nappies please let me know. Once they are on the line drying I will take a photo of them to post too. It is gonna look strange seeing nappies out there already

I have a heap of brand new smalls to sell, they have been washed but never worn coz I decided I wanted to swap my whole stash for Bitti D'lishs. I've got some Baby Harmonys, some Fuzzis and some Honeychilds (which have been worn but still in excellent condition) in neutral colors and some girly colored Drybees and a Peapod. I'm gonna chuck them on TM but let me know if you want any of them and we can sort something out

Oh stop it ya big show off. I love that PUL, pity Lols is pretty much toilet trained now, I can't really justify making her another nappy when she only wears them to bed now

Re: Cloth Nappy Discussion :knit:
Oh I love that last nappy! *wails* I want another girl!! *calms down* I've been using cloth again, most days. Using Home Brand sposies at night though, otherwhise there's so much padding his butt is about 3 stories high and that must be very uncomfortable...
