Post First Day Back at Work
Well .... it was my first day back at work today after having Liam .... what a shock to the system. It was very strange and to be honest, my heart wasn't really in it! I kept on thinking about how different things would be if Liam had been a healthy baby.

To top it off, without thinking I drove passed the hospital and Nurses Chapel (where we had Liam's funeral) for the first time since his funeral and found it very hard. Probably not the best thing to do on the first day back to work!!!

I'm sure it will get easier .... just another milestone to get through!

Hi Tanya, I had trouble going back to work after GG too, things will get easier on the work front for you. To be honest, my heart still isnt in it. Dont know it ever will be again, but it does get easier. Big hugs...

Well done you for making it through the first day back at work and what milestone syou did by going past the hosp.
I have not gone back to work but studied last year, too start my heart was not in it but after a few weeks I found that I was Loving it, that said my favorite part was doing funeral work (Floristry) I just found that I cold do it and make it look wonderful and it meant so much to be able to give just one special thing at the hardest time in anyones life.

Hey Tanya,

The work milestone is a hard one. I am so glad I work from home, so I was able take small steps back into it.

I personally find it hard to focus 100%, as what has happened, is so much bigger than work - then you add the daily task of keeping your family balanced and TTC - work certainly comes in last on my list.

I imagine passing the hospital really bought up some hard memories, and was probably made harder by having to then show up at work. :(

For me it is passing the Ultrasound Clinic at Manukau, which is where I was told that Satori's heart had stopped beating. :(
I have had to pass it quite often, as it is on a major trunk to other places - its getting easier, however the first time I passed it I was a mess.

I hope things fall into some sort of normality, quickly for you Tanya
:)

Thanks for all your thoughts guys. The week has been going well so far. I thankfully work from home, so I can just take it as it comes. My clients have been so lovely (they pretty much all knew what happened) and are not beging at all demanding!!
