Well it is obviously time for another update, although not much has changed since last time. I am off to the specialist and to see the m/w on Wendesday, and will get more bloods done too (oh the joy of it all). Have come to the decision that if DH, and the Drs are agreeable, I will go ahead with the transfusion for bubs, as the way I see it, it can only improve my chances of carrying this one to term, and seeing as how it is the last one I want a good outcome. So next step for me is to see if the Drs say that it is a good idea then have to bring it up with DH. Am feeling lots of movements now, still not on the outside, but wont be long before that happens, still havent had any luck with the fetal hearrt monitor, but it does say on the box that it can detect them from 21 weeks onwards so there is still a few more weeks left. Have been trying to think if I would like to find out the sex of this one and am still in two minds about it. On one hand I would like to as it is the last one, but then would like a suprise at the end of it all. So who knows...watch this space.
Will update more after Wednesday.

Thanks for the update Carley. I'm so excited for you and hope all the decisions you have to make arn't too hard on you.

I decided very early on that I would definitely want to find out the sex of our next baby. Only because I keep on thinking I would have loved to have known that Liam was a boy through the pregnancy so I could have had that extra time talking to 'him' rather than 'it'. It's hard to explain, but it's something I feel very strong about.

Keep the updates coming!!

Oh Carley how exciting, your little ticker is ticking along fast. Yah to the movements too, I miss those. But manage to get plenty from Miss 3 anyway when she in our bed in the morning lol..

Take care and look forward to an update on Wednesday.

Evening ladies!!! Well I had an interesting day today. First off was the specialist, and spoke to her about the chance of having the transfusion and the reasons why I wanted it, and she basically poo pooed the idea, saying why would I put myself and baby at risk unnecessarily  she just didnt get where I was coming from :gaah: But she also said that she would get in touch with Waikato and find out when they wanted to see me, as she would like me to go and have a visit with them before I am 24 wks, so I might bring it up with them, also said that if that was the case with the transfusion then I wanted to go onto weekly b/t after 20wks to keep a real close eye on the antibody levels. She agreed to that :phew: .
Then we had a quick lookie at bubs and all was good there, and the Dr said that there didnt look like there was excess amounts of fluid there too, which is good as that can cause fetal hydrops which is what Julia had. Saw the  beating and bubs moving around. She gave me the form for my scan but has said to hold off on it for bit and she will see what happens with Waikato, if they want to see me before or around my 20wks I will have it done there, or I will get it done here at Rotorua.
Then it was off to the m/w, filled out all the forms needed with her, which didnt have to do much as she had all my records from Julia. Had a cuppa tea and a gossip then we listened for the  beat, at first she couldnt find it as bubs was moving too fast, then she asked which side the Dr had found bubs on and told her so she moved the doppler there, still no luck then she said "hang on" she had seen a ripple on the surface of my belly and moved the doppler there and hey presto!! there was the  beat. Measured at 140bpm, and she reckons it is another :babygirl: . I am measuring at 18 wks ( hehe thats my flabby belly for ya!! ) So all is good :excited:
Was just lying on the bed before watching Shorty Street and just had my hands on my belly and felt bubs kicking my hand!!:excited: I have finally felt movement on the outside!!! :excited:

:hissyfit: :gaah: WARNING VENT AHEAD!! :gaah: :hissyfit:

my DH (and I dont mean DARLING either) has put his foot in it BIG time. We got talking last night about names for this one, and I mentioned that I liked Ella Rose if it was a girl...DUMBASS Hubby then said that he didnt want Rose in its name :snooty: When I asked why he just said that he didnt!!! Even when I explained to him why I wanted it in there he wouldnt even budge on it :hissyfit: :hissyfit: :hissyfit:
THEN just now I was telling him that I was speaking to the boss about the room at the shed where Bayden used to sleep when we were milking, and how he could take the bed back to his place as we wouldnt need it this year, he then asked if I was going to the shed at all this year....ummm no I am planning to have a baby in December and kinda am not in the right state to be milking cows. Told DORK Hubby this conversation and he replied that I could go and help the Boss with the fedding of the calves, and that I had to do something this year and not sit on my ass   I can guarantee that if I went to "help" with the feeding of the calves then the boss would take that as me saying that I am going to do them all the time and he would bugger off and leave me to it. Did I mention that you have to lift 20 litre buckets of milk over gates to put it in the feeders? How can I get stoopid Hubby to realise that I am classed as a high risk pregnancy and that as it stands I have to go to Waikato twice next month?!!! :gaah: He just doesnt get it!!!!

Oh Carley sometimes men can be stupid, they just don't think do they.

I love the name Ella Rose. I have Olivia Rose and would have picked Ella, but a friend had called her DD (that was born same time as Ashley) Ella, so didn't want her to think i was copying.

Hi Carley, men...........

I think Ella Rose is a beautiful name, and a nice way to include Julia's memory. I want to name this baby (if its a girl) ???? Grace, after both my nana and Georgia. I have also told DH that if its a boy, then the name will be ???? George. I would like to share his reaction with you when I told him that, but I dont remember him even acknowledging I was speaking!!!

When is your anatomy scan? Have you decided if you want to find out yet?

By the way, I'll dig out my Superwoman cape for you to wear when you are milking cows and feeding calves............ its here somewhere.........

Well have come to a compromise (thanks to talking to Mummy dearest and bitching and moaning to her  ) I have approached the boss and told him that I will 'help' out in the afternoons when i dont have a Drs appointment and am feeling ok. Told DH and from my tone of voice he got the message that there is no compromise on this one, I will do what I blardy well like during this pregnancy. As for milking the cows... that is a big NO this season, I had to milk whilst pg with Bayden and it took me having a near miss with a cows hoof and my belly for DH to realise that a cowshed is no place for a pg woman.

Oh dear, men huh, is he still a bit in denial? is the not having 'Rose' in bubs name linked to Julia and him not wanting to recognise that he's still greiving? Is he also in denial about being a high risk pg, after all, if he see's it as a reality then he'll aslo have to face the possibilitites of that? (not that anything bad will happen anyway, cause I know, thats my story and I'm sticking to it, just ask Lisa, I told her the same thing :)). Perhaps you should get it in writing that you shoud NOT be working under any circumstances, not worth the risk. Men sometimes need a bit of a reality check.
Sorry about my ramblings, lack of sleep and being sick AGAIN (and I can't even say that DH has been a typical male about it, he started off that way, but has been really good since, even bought me a bottle of plonk :), oops, not about me).

Hey Carley :)

Men are from Mars........

I second what Manda said - get a letter, which I am sure you will have no problem in getting one - maybe even address to dear DH  then he will have to come to terms with it, and see that it would not be ideal.

I think it is a lovely idea to put Rose into the babies name - maybe try tackling it once bubs is here, then he will be so happy he will probably go along with anything :)

Take Care Sweet

Yvonne

I just wanna say that I LOVE my TLO family!!! You all ROCK! You are there when I need you and give me the love and support that I sometimes dont get from DH.

I am glad to say that he is a bit better today, and like I said I have reached a compromise with him, and he knows that I will work for as long as I feel comfortable and will finish when I am ready, not when he tells me to :x Even the boss has been more understanding than DH has .

Just catching up on all the TLO goings on. Sorry I'm late on this one Carley. Men, durr. Gosh they can be so totally stupid sometimes. I mean they can not even handle the "Man Cold", you know the one that is barely a cold but has them laying up like they are dying, but they expect us to handle pregnancy, let alone a high risk pregnancy, as if it's life as usual. Can you imagine them putting up with months of having ms, being tired all the time, heartburn, swelling, big belly etc etc and still being expected to do everything. Hey, maybe you can get him one of those empathy bellies and get him out feeding calves with that on!! He he, but to make it more fair perhaps get him to do it at some ungodly hour when he's tired and after a good night on the plonk when he's real queasy. That'll learn him.

Anyhow, back to being serious, I am glad to see that you have reached a compromise and got him to understand that you can only do what you are up for and what is safe for you to do. Good on you sweet.
