On the rollercoaster
My partner and I have decided to start to TTC, yet some days I am a emotional wreck with feeling of guilt of wanting another baby, yet excited also at the prospect. I also have a deep fear that if we do become pg that it may end up the same way even though our specialist has reassured us we are low risk group. Just a matter of playing the waiting game now to see if af raises her ugly head.

Oh Sweetie, welcome to the emotional world of TTCing. The feelings you are feeling are totally natural, and completley warranted given what has happened. Infact if you didnt have some of those feelings I personally think that that wouldnt be right IYKWIM?
Sending you all of my spare babydust and good thoughts for a short TTC time and excellent news very soon.

Hey there. Welcome to the roller coaster .... I so know how you feel - I am going through the stage at the moment where I'm feeling very emotional about it all and am thinking that I might give it a rest next cycle if it doesn't happen this time.
Good luck with the BDing!!

Hi Bouncy, It is a very emotional time for you, but we are all here for you and know how you feel. I am coming into week 15 of my second pg and still have moments of "is this real? Are we doing the right thing?"
I would like to share some advice that I was given on TLO when we starting TTCing. Whether it is this month, this year or next year, the same feelings about your wee angel are always going to be with you. (something like that anyway!) But it really helped me to understand that emotional rollacoaster is always a ride we are going to be on.
Good luck and I wish you all the best.

Whew it makes me feel much better knowing all these new feelings and emotions are normal, Thanks for the kind words. I have found those who have not experienced what we have not very helpful when it comes to subjects like this. Hayley

Hayley,
Good luck with TTC - it is a pretty scarey process, and I often have days where I wonder if it is the right thing to do, but as I said to Tracey, when we decided to get pregnant with Satori, it was because we wanted to add to our family and give Flynn a sibling, and that hasn't changed. If we waited for another two years to TTC again, it wouldn't change the feelings of loss that we have for our beautiful little angel, and at 39 I also don't really have the gift of time to play around with.
Anyway, I hope to see a BFP for you soon.
Take Care
Yvonne

thanks Yvonne, yes it is scary, when we got pg with William it was a shock since we had been trying for 3 years, we had prety much given up, I guess that is partly why we have decided to start to ttc now and tho I am only 31 my partner is 42 and we wanted to have one while we are both young enough to enjoy the experience. Thnks for the kind thoughts, will keep u all updated on the roller coaster ride

Getting really nervous now, after watching the calendar for last few days and the due day for af is here and still nothing, trying not to get hopes up too much in case it arrives late, but have the little niggles of excitment, Guess the only thing for me to do is take a seat and go with the flo.

Well after a long nervous wait, 5 days late af came, I am surprised how well I coped this month, but deep down had a niggle that the hag would show up, now after being regular since we lost William, we start to TTC it becomes irregular on me just to add to my frustration. Hayley

Hi Hayley. I sooooooo know what you mean. My AF (after being pretty regular up till now) has decided to play up and it would appear from blood tests that I haven't been ovulating!!! Very frustrating!!!!
I hope that yours sorts itself out soon.
Take Care

Well more frustrations to boot, after being given the all clear from doctors to start to TTC, just been told I have had a second blood test show things are slightly out of whack, most frustrating is the point no one will tell me what it actually means, hospital tells me to ring gp, gp tells me to ring hosp, after a week of ringing everyone, I end up yelling at gps nurse and then yelling at the hosp. Now I finally simmered down a little going to see gp this week but am expecting to be referred straight back to hosp to get medications since my bloods show I may have antiphospolipid syndrome.

Hi Hayley. You must be so frustrated alright! If you do have that syndrome, will you have to be on medication all the time? Or just if youre pregnant? Its so hard isnt it. I was TTC in June and it was so stressful. AF ended up being 2 weeks late anyway. I decided that if it was causing me that much stress, than it wasnt the right time. So now I have promised myself that I will wait till the new year (cant wait for that btw, 2008 sucks.) Wishing you all the best for your appt.

(((Hugs)))) Hayley and Leonie
Hayley, I hope they give you the all clear soon, and I hope it all happens quickly from there, for you.
Leonie, I know what you are saying about the frustration of it all - we have been really trying in the last six months and NADA
We have never had a problem before, so I think the stress of wanting it so badly, is in fact stopping it
I would so like to be joining everybody on the Subsequent PG forum

Yvonne, that is so true that all the thinking about getting pregnant helps make it take longer. A friend of mine was trying for at least 5 yrs (shes nearly 40) and nothing was happening. Then just 4 months ago there was a death in the family so she got sidetracked, and now shes 16weeks!!! Its so bizarre how it works like that. Hopefully youll be on that board soon, then I can join you next year And Hayley too!

Well just been to Gp, all went well so far because my range is only slightly over the normal range, he has started me on Cartia which apparently have to take for rest of my life, esp since I have heart problems in the family, He has given me the all clear again to TTC and am still under going regular tests to make sure my bloods dont get worst, if they do am going to be referred back to hosp to start heparin injections, and will be instantly referrred to hosp once I recieve a positive pg test.
