TTC with avengence!!!!
Hello lovelies,
I thought it was about time to start my own thread seeing as though I seem to be the only one here now
Well I saw my specialist 2 weeks ago and did a whole lot of bloods, which I have had back and it seems this old body is not ovulating
He has put me on a 3mth course of Clomid to hopefully kickstart the big "O". I start tomorrow, which is kind of exciting except that I am full of a really bad flu I'm hoping that by the time I have to start BDing that it is gone, otherwise I might just have to lay there and think of England, as they say, and let DH do all of the work
The other scarey thing is that there is a 15-25% chance of MULTIPLE BIRTH, when using clomid - that could be interesting and very daunting.
Anyway, I'll keep you updated and if any of you have any spare Baby Dust, please send it my way.

Good to hear you got some answers and that they can help along with it, I too am still TTC lol in fact starting to get psychotic about the whole thing, but then it is has only been four months or so, and only been on the meds for my blood for a month, which should increase my chances.

Hi Tanya,
Thanks for your thoughts sweet. The multiple thing is a bit scary but will have to deal with that if it happens - I have spoken to quite a few who have been on it and it has only resulted in a singleton pgs for them too. Can I ask you what dosage you were on and whether you had a scan to see how many follicles you had produced?
Did you have any side affects when taking clomid? I am taking it at night because they say that you are less likely to suffer from side effects, but I am waking up at 5am every morning Don't know if this is the clomid or just this rotten old flu that I have got
Also, how are you going with everything?

Hey there. They started me on one tablet a day - so a pretty low dose I think compared to what I hear some people are on. the only side effects I had were hot flushes, so I got off pretty lightly by the sounds of things.
I never got to the point of having scans as the blood tests I were having kept on indicating that I hadn't ovulated!!!! - then hey presto! They think I may have ovulated late - so that hadn't been able to pinpoint it.
Everything is going well so far with this PG. I am finally starting to feel a little better and lasting till late in the afternoon before the nausea sets in (usually around tea time!).
Take care and keep us posted with how you are going.

Hi Yvonne
Good luck for this month.
My sister had one round of Clomid and concieved straight away too. She had three follicules at her scan, but ended up with just one very healthy little boy. Can't remember if she had any side effects, can't have been too bad I suppose or I'd remember the complaining I'm sure.

Well ladies, I'm gutted!!!!!
I spoke to my Specialist today to get my CD21 test results, and they are lower than last month ...WTF!!!!
It seems from the test results that I didn't ovulate
I just cannot believe it as I did OPKs and got O results on CD12 & 13, and the OPK's are apparently meant to be more than 99% accurate. I also had major O pain and alot of egg white (TMI).
Man I really wanted to be pg this month, especially with Satori's !st Birthday coming up. I really thought clomid might have been my wonder drug.
I am sooooo bummed at the moment

Thanks guys,
Tanya - i did look back on that thread of yours, but what are the odds and percentages of that happening to two of us....must say though I am holding on to some hope....you never want to completely give up. Time will tell.
Carley I hope your bones are right
Hope you are right too Lan.
I think am so gutted because I had major O signs, which I haven't had - probably since Satori - so I expected my test results to be phenominal Thought I was going to be worrying about multiple pg rather than NO "O"!!!!! Got that excited I even put a ticker up.
I think my expectations may have been too high - that 'll learn me for next month

Awww thanks guys
I've been going onto EBB and probably getting too much info.
Might have to chill a little bit. I'll soon know one way of the other.
Might just go with the knowlegde that the OPK said I ovulated They are over 99% accurate, so I must have!!!!!
