Manda, DH is adamant that's it. I really really really want (need?) another one and so I told him I'd find someone else to have it with.

Oh poor you! I don't normally get any swelling until much later in the pregnancy. I think the only thing you can do is put your feet up! Probably a good idea to tell you MW too so she can keep an eye on it.
Take care

I'm with Tanya on this one...let your m/w know, plus I have got a foot spa...it is absolute bliss on these hot days. I fill mine with coolish water and just soak for ages. It is either that or lie on the floor and stick my feet up on the couch just to get the swelling to go. Hope that yours goes soon.

Thanks ladies, I was meant to have a midwife appointment tomorrow but she cancelled it as I have an appointment at the antenatal clinic at the hospital instead. So I will tell the OB tomorrow when I see her.
In the meantime, I have pulled out the old footspa and will give that a go tonight! Looking forward to it!!!!!
Took some 24 week bump pics this weekend too so will post those later on.

Much better thanks Lynne! The old foot spa with cold water worked a treat. Had an appointment at the antenatal clinic yesterday so I mentioned it to the OB. She said there's not much I can do, my blood pressure was normal and no protein in urine, so she's not too concerned. Just have to keep them elevated I suppose.
Have to go back to the hospital next week for a fetal echo scan, and then my glucose test a week after that. All go!!!

Little update: Had a scan at the hospital on Tuesday, all looking good with bubba, he is almost 1kg now and has big 5cm feet!! My placenta not looking so sh#t hot though, lots of patchy bits everywhere which I think must have happened last pregnancy too, as I had serious problems with retained placenta. Damned placenta. Oh well, at least they have a heads up now.

WOW Lan 5cm feet!!! good thing that they are the last thing to exit aye?!!
Pleased that your Drs are onto it with your placenta problems. Is there anything that they can do to help sort it out. And what sort of problems could arrise from it being patchy etc?

Good to see your update. I was about to ask exactly what Carley has asked - what can they do apart from monitoring the placenta?
Looks like you might be in for a big bubba!!!

I don't really know what they can do about the placenta, will have to find out a bit more at the next appointment. I'm just a bit scared about possibly having a retained placenta again, that was a terrible ordeal to go through after already trying to deal with the loss of the baby. I still feel squeamish thinking about the doctors trying to remove it manually before finally deciding it would need to come out surgically. I think the problem with it being "patchy" is that it didn't all come out on the first attempt (or the second attempt a month later, for that matter). Sorry, a bit TMI!
