I wanted to burn some pics on a CD before I took my computer to the ICT lady at school to fix it, so I grabbed a CD from the drawer and followed the CD Writing Wizard prompts.

The stupid thing formatted my CD, erasing everything on it.
It was the CD with the photos of Chloé on it.

And I thought, cr@p, I don't have them anywhere else, except maybe still on my stepdad's laptop in France. You see my luck there..


But thanks the Powers That Be, DH had the whole folder of her pics on his USB FlashDrive..

I can breathe again, the photos of my little girl are safe..

Yes, it would have been really bad...
So now they're on his USB FlashDrive AND on this computer, which is way newer than ours and faster and more reliable.
Need to buy some CDs and burn them again!!
But the others pics that were on the CD, from the rest of August 06 might be lost. Lucky I put some of them on Eloise's website (like the one of her on the pony). Pity about the movies. Hopefully my mum kept them on the laptop..

Well Friday was a bad day, so having lost the photos for good would just have been a pretty rotten cherry on a yukky cake...
Sooooooo glad DH had them somewhere!!
