26 weeks today, went to see the endocrinologist today and she has increased my thyroxine yet again, but said this will prolly be the last time. YAY.

I also had to have a polycose test yesterday and got the results back today and YAY i passed it.

Things seem to be still going ok, getting close to the scary time thou. But sounds like specialist is going to monitor me 2 to 3 times a week from 30 weeks.

Post Update
27 weeks today.

Went to see Debbie yesterday after playcentre. All seems to be going ok, bubs was lying transverse and had a good heartrate of 140 to 160. She told me if i have any doubts to ring her and she will meet me at the hosp for a monitoring even if we have to do it daily.

Back to see her in 3 weeks.

WOAH, its getting closer and scarier. I dont know how I will get through the next 11 weeks, I feel scared and like a worry wart, if bubs doesnt move i get all worried and Debbie said at this stage they dont move all day everyday even thou for my piece of mind it would be nice. But I have noticed in the last few days the movements have increased.

Glad to hear that things seem to be going well with your pregnancy Kim.

When do you go on to have two weekly visits?

11 weeks - so exciting!

Thanks Telly, I am pretty much having fortnightly visits now, i see mw one fortnight and hosp specialist the other, but hopefully the hosp will start seeing me fortnightly then my mw said she will see me the week in between.

Yeah 11 weeks max to go.

I havent been told officially when they are going to deliver bubs, but mw said it would be 38 weeks at the latest.

Yay that everything is going well for you and bubs... :D :D :D

Wow...The countdown really is on.

It will be nice to have the reassurance of weekly visits soon. It is hard when bubs doesn't move much especially in the middle of the night. My bubs gets lots of pokes and prods if it doesn't give me at least a little kick when I request one.

Take care.

Claire :)

Well had hosp appt today and a scan. Scan went well, bubs is measuring 30w5d and weighs about 3lb 9ozs already.

And its a BOY....

Appt with specialist went ok, he said baby has a slightly enlarged liver, so now i have something else to worry about I go back in 2 weeks and they will start monitoring and then another scan 2 weeks after that.

I am sooo scared.

Hey Kim - Congrats on the boy!!!!! He sounds like he is very bonny and healthy already measuring 2 weeks ahead in dates. Did they suggest any reasons for the enlarged liver? Could it be normal or correct itself with time? I hate when they are vague at scans telling you to wait 2 weeks before they can advise you further.

(((((BIG HUGS))))) and I hope the two weeks pass quickly for you.

Take care.

Claire :)

Thanks Claire and Jacqui

He didnt say anything further he just said when he was reading the scan report that the liver was slightly enlarged and that was all he said. I am guessing he is not too concerned otherwise he would of talked it through with me.

But its just another thing i have to worry about.

Yay Kim - boys rock!

Try to focus on the good stuff. I'm sure they're just being over careful about the liver thing.

Yah Kim, congrats on another little boy. Thomas is going to have a little brother to watch over.

Sorry about the liver thing, I'm sure if was was anything to worry about the doc would have explained better. If you are stressing about it, maybe give him a call and get him to reassure you that is it just precautionary. (sp?)

Has anyone else noticed that we have all had the same sex babies as our little Angels before them.

Congrats on a boy Kim! I am sure everything is fine or else he would have said. But I think you will feel better if you just call and ask.

Ally- I guess I am the only one having the opposite sex as my angel.

Thanks everyone, I would love to ring him but unfortunately he is one of the big obstetricians at the hospital and isnt that easy to get hold of.

I did to speak to the reliever midwife last night as mine is on holiday. She said she didnt know, and that scans tend to measure organs bigger and usually there is nothing to worry about, she also said if the doctor was worried he would of gone into more detail. She said if she is back in delivery this week she will ask one of the doctors about it.

I am prolly just worrying over nothing.

Just been to see the midwfie and everything seems ok except my blood pressure was 120/88 which is high for me, so she sent me for bloods and is popping in on friday to redo blood pressure. If its still high on friday I will be off to hosp.

Update on us.

Well on tuesday i went to the hospital expecting a specialist appointment and was put straight on the ctg machine, we sat there for an hour being monitored, bubs decided to go to sleep, so they werent happy with the trace as his resting heartrate was 160 and it shouldnt of been that high. So I was told that I would be transferred to delivery for more monitoring, so i go out to reception to ring Pip to let her know what is going on as she was looking after Sophie and while I am on the phone the specialist comes out and says you will be going from delivery straight to the ward. So of course i get concerned and didnt really know what was going on. So off to delivery we toddle and get put on the monitor for another hour and this time it was fine, but i was still sent up to the ward. They left me be for the night and came in in the morning and did another monitoring which was fine, and said i would be in for another night as they had booked a scan for today and also wanted me to have a Glucose Tolerance Test. So i settle in for the day and then the receptionist from the ward pops in and says someone hasnt turned up for their scan you are going now. So off I toddle back downstairs and have my scan and back to the ward. I sit and worry all afternoon as no one came and told me how the scan went and so on. The midwife who I had on in the afternoon decided to do another monitoring and I asked her about the scan and blood tests so she went and found them and everything seemed ok. So I stayed the night and had to fast from midnight last night for the GTT, I had that this morning and then waited for the results, it was 5.7. I was allowed to come home.

This morning we talked to the doctors and asked what there plan was and they said well they are going to try and leave bubs there till 38 weeks, this made me burst into tears as I am terrified that I am going to lose this baby. I prefer them to take him soon and then if anything happens they can help him where as if he dies inside of me there is nothing they can do. This is our last chance, we lose him and we wont be having anymore. So at the moment I am not in a very good mental state and cry at the drop of a hat.

Big (((HUGS))) Kim.
What a stressful couple of days you have had.

I know it's hard to trust your body and I understand your want to have your little one out as soon as possible so you can hold him and feel secure that he is now safe.
I hope these next few weeks go really fast for you.

Take care
Jacqui

Oh hun ((hugs))

What a very scarey thing to have to go through.

I understand your anxiety, and I hope these next few weeks are trouble and stress free.

Am around if you need to talk.

(((((((HUGE HUGS)))))))) Kim - What a stressful time you are having at the moment!!!!!

I have all my crossables crossed that things stay status quo for the next few weeks to allow bubs a little more "mummy time". I can 100% understand your anxiety though...thinking of you and your family.

Take extra special care.

Claire :)

I can relate a little to how scared you are feeling - scary to think we were both in hospital at the same time! I have been telling my girls to stay put, and will do the same for your lil man, I'm sure he will be fine!

Well am home from another night in hospital, was referred to delivery suite yesterday by my endocrinologist as bubs movements had decreased. Well I was monitored, mini scanned and then admitted for the night. They did another ctg last night and again this morning. I also had a scan this morning and bubs seems ok and is happy. So I was allowed to come home.

All the stuff going on is scaring the hell out of me..

Kim

Oh Kim - you are having a rough time lately. Let's hope all this extra monitoring is just to make sure bubs stays safe and sound in there.

Take care of yourself.

Kim sounds like they are watching you closely and that's what you do need.

Must be really terrifying though - what a shame it could not be less stressful for you.

BIG hugs, I hope to hear that baby decides to be moving really well right up to 38 weeks and you have him in your arms alive and well.
