I will be bottle feeding again. I would love to breastfeed but have never been able to due to a medical condition I have.

Breastfeeding by hook or by crook! I got a wicked bout of mastitis when Maya was 3 weeks old and had 9 days in hospital with it but managed to keep feeding.
Plus Maya had nasty allergies (dairy, egg, soy and peanut) so if I have to give this bubs formula it will have to be the same prescription-only stuff that Maya had just in case.

I do what ever suits me and baby a the time. I had to express for Cam until he was old enough to suck then i fed him, and about 8 weeks I went to bottle . Wish I hadn;t but didn't realise it was his reflux that was making thinkgs so hard, and Cam wanting to feed every hour. LOL I think I deserve a smooth run in this area this time around.

Good questions Kim.
I am open to whatever happens. My mum could not breastfeed as she never produced any milk at all, so I wonder if I will be the same. I'll try the whole breastfeeding thing, but it looks really hard, so I won't beat myself up if it doesn't work out.

Just a quick reply to Lizzie, My mother had 5 children and couldn't breastfeed any of us, she was the same as your mum couldn't produce any milk. I have fully breastfeed all 4 of mine, and my sister her two. so don't think cause your mum can't you wont be able to. But just go with it, breast or bottle, as long as bubs gets fed. Both have there advantages. Best of luck with your birth.

Well, we all know breast is best for baby - but the formulas now days are pretty good.
With Cameron we started out breastfeeding, and because it became too stressful - long story - I ended up putting him on the bottle.
Plan to breastfeed this time, as this time it will be my choice - but yeah...

Definitely breastfeeding for me - I was lucky that it all went smoothly with Joel and I breastfed him till he was 10 months old.
