Hi lauriel,
That all sounds so good, glad to hear everything is going well and you're feeling kicks (I'm having a few little ones but nowhere near what I'm happy with).
As far as your previous post, I would think you should definalty be more closely monitored. My mw see's me every 4 weeks from 10 weeks and I can go in for hb checks whenever I want. Can you ask your midwife if she can see you more often, she shouldn't have an issue with it (especially if she's nice enough to come to your scan with you).
Any names picked out yet?

Manda, I am not feeling as many kicks as I'd like and I've only been feeling them for about 3 weeks (I'm 22 weeks tomorrow), which had me quite worried... Not knowing where the placenta was, I thought if it was anterior it might have explained it. But no, my placenta is posterior. Only thing I can come up with, is at the 13wk scan the lady wrote "long uterus" and the MW is always measuring the fundus 2-3 weeks ahead of the baby size.. Who knows!!
The MW sent the referral to the OB and I have an appt on the 29th of May (now we finally have OBs in this stupid town!!)... I'm seeing the MW again on 2 June.
Having had that scan last week put lots of my worries to rest. I still have tiny nightmares of my waters breaking (and not being so close anymore to the friend I would call if that happens, bit worried there too) but I figure I'm feeling enough kicks to be reassured. But if I feel something might be wrong, I will NOT hesitate in storming through the hospital doors once more!!
When I went back mid-April with the letter for the scan (a week after I turned up unannounced and fuming), the MW insisted on checking the HB to reassure me. It was great.

Congratulations on your growing boy!
I would say you should be seen a lot more often than 2 months my dear.
Normmally it is monthly and that is a person who has never had anything go wrong.
Huggles to you, I hope those dreams are starting to stop. And that bub is picking up those movements for you.

Hi Lisa!
Things are going well, still with the heartburn though. And the tiredness.
But getting HEAPS of kicks, so happy!!
I am coming to realise I have a bump and it's starting to get in the way sometimes.. Kinda opened the bathroom cupboard door on it a couple of night ago to get my toothbrush..
Saw the OB about 10 days ago and haven't heard from the MW since she cancelled our appt last Saturday cos she was exhausted after a night spend delivering a baby. But I'm not worried at all.
So glad to hear you're pregnant!!
Planning to have a homebirth at this point but I'll have to discuss it with the MW when I see her next.
I can't wait for my mum to arrive!

Manda!! That is so cool!!!
My SIL in France is due with their first baby mid-October.
A good friend of mine who works with DH just found out she was pg last week, at 9 weeks and a bit. She's 21. Soooo happy for them. She got pg with a IUD in place..

Good to hear that everything is going good, Lol about opening the bathroom cupboard into your bump, best try not to do that too often!
Hope the plans for homebirth work out as well.
Bugger about the heartburn still too, yuck and ouch.
But it will all be worth it in the end.
We also have a huge increase in the amount of pregnant people around us!

I really need to get DH to scan the pics from the scan so I can post them..
We got a DVD at the 20wk scan and I was toying with the idea of uploading it to YouTube..

Lisa, no one said anything.. We'll definitely come up after the MW appt on Monday so be operational from Tuesday morning. DH has work to do (fix the spa + school work + uni assignments) so that leaves me and bump and my girlie to drive around meeting ppl..
I have dates for my mum being here!! Arrival around 11 Sept and she's leaving again on 9 October. Not as long as I thought, but sooooooo not complaining. Now just hoping that little boy will get out during that time..

Sorry, just dawned on me this morning I hadn't checked in in a while...
Bump on 23 August
Bump on 28 August (36w1d)
My belly dropped massively on Sunday morning and I've been having engaging pains since Monday. And a lot more of BH since Sunday as well... He's rolling around more than kicking and still taking my bladder (and what feels like my cervix) for a trampoline..
The MW at antenatal class looked at me funny when I told her my EDD was 24 Sept...
My mum arrives on 13 September. This baby better wait for her to arrive.
Ppl on EBB have started posting predictions of date and weight. It's fun to collate them..
