Radiation is Monday to Friday for 5 weeks, Side effects for me the worst would be heart issues cause of the area they are doing, But as a general it causes burns and tiredness, But the tirdness builds up unlike with chemo where it just hits you.
Besides that I am not really sure, I am meant to be going to a induction to Radiation Friday But of course that is ANZAC day so will not be happening this Friday, hopefully next Friday though? why in the school holidays thou means sorting two kids out...grrr

YAYYY Lisa NO MORE CHEMO!!!
Your strength just totally amazes me!! You have gone thru so much yet you remain so positive!! You are such an Inspiration!!
I hope the Radiation isnt as harsh on your body as the Chemo is!!
Am so happy and cant wait till the day you anounce on here that you are Cancer Free!!

Carley, yes it burns the skin and can scar it as well depending on how your skin reacts, But I would rather burn marks than Cancer any day so bring it on.
It is more likely to leave the skin in that area (which for me is the chest, under arm and neck) a darker colour than the rest of my skin, oh and it increases the risk of Skin cancer would ya believe...lol

Hloy smokes about it increasing the chances of skin cancer!!! But like you said it is either scaring or cancer, and I'm with you I know which one I would prefer too.

Hey Lisa, Great news about no more chemo, and I hope the radiation treatment is kind to you and doesn't do any of the things you said it could. My thoughts are with you chick
I hope the road to recovery is kind to you and that you finally get a big fat remission at the end of it all.
