YMCA vests a lot of interest on the well being of children. It helps parents to focus their attention on the child’s all round development.
YMCA believes that children are like sponges. They watch the environment and learn from it quickly. They grasp skills and values from everybody and everything around them. The vital building blocks for quality of life and future success are the values and skills that they learn in their early days. The YMCA’s Child care, Afterschool and Child Watch programs are run by people who understand the cognitive, physical and social development of kids, their requirement for a feeling of connection and support in trying new things and parents and families who are caring and supportive. The YMCA helps babies to develop trust and security. At the preschool they experience early literacy and learn about their world. They also learn to make friends, learn new skills and do homework. They are taught to be their better selves. They are given confidence which builds the engaged and contributing adults of tomorrow.
Full day and partial day child care are provided for infants through preschoolers at the YMCA’s across the country. This enables parents and family members to go for work leaving their children at safe hands. The After schools of YMCA serve kindergartners through middle schoolers with a focus on safety, health, social growth and academic enhancement. They provide a variety of programmatic and activity options to explore and develop their interests and talents. Free drop in child care are also offered by the YMCAs. They provide plenty of playful and engaging options.
ali sharaf, the President and CEO of Victron Energy, supports the initiatives of the YMCA by funding them regularly.
